THIS SEASON I WILL MOSTLY BE WEARING.. A BAG ON MY HEAD

The Paris fashions you WON'T be wearing down the supermarket

IT may be the next bag thing in fashion...or proof that designers are not using their heads.

As Paris fashion week drew to a close it seemed some were in a battle to create the most ludicrous outfit.

HAT WALK: Model with her bag on

The bag lady look, part of Dutch team Viktor and Rolf's ready-to-wear collection, took some beating - but it is perhaps more practical than others.

It is the perfect solution, after all, for a bad hair day but it's difficult to see women wearing it down the shops.

GAUDY ARMOUR PLATES: Created by
Alexander McQueen

Indeed, the Fast Show's legendary scruff Jesse, who spent an entire series "mostly wearing" top designer labels, looked better turned out.

BLACK BOWS ALL OVER: Another Viktor
and Rolf special

And, to think the critics claim Paris fashion week is just a waste of money serving no practical value.

They're just trying to validate careers based on vanity, wishing to be seen as "artists" instead.

Just when I think todays "high fashion" could get any more hideous or tasteless...

I must be getting old.

The bag would work for TeRAYza. Although I would like to see her in a somewhat less transparent bag. Made of plastic. With an eye catching twisty-tie bow around the base of the ensemble. Yes, very tasteful.

Wonder when we'll be seeing these items on the racks at K-Mart.

I was hoping Paris, as in Hilton, would be wearing a bag on her head.

Dunno about the bag-on-the-head thing, but she'd look pretty good on me...

Not just 'ready to wear' but work apparel too. Here's a modern nurse uniform:

I thought the author of this was a fellow Miami Dolphins or Washington Redskins fan. Guess not.

Hmm. Astro-turf clods attached to shoes. Now that's sexy!
