In the 3 day national tracking poll released by Rasmussen, Bush's numbers improved to 48.4% Bush to 46.1% Kerry.
However, the 7 day rolling averages for 5 key battleground states show movement to Kerry.
Florida, Bush 51%-45% (A 1 point Kerry gain from yesterday)
Michigan, Kerry 50%-46% (A 1 point Kerry gain from yesterday)
Minnesota, Kerry 48%-46% (A 1 point Bush gain from yesterday)
Ohio, Bush 49%-46% (A 2 point Kerry gain from yesterday)
Pennsylvania, Kerry 47%-46% (A 2 point Kerry gain from yesterday and the first Kerry lead since 9/30)
hehe
Ohio is the only one making me nervous.
This will all be moot in 5 hours.
Close in MN and PA still although I think MN would be a much easier pickup than PA
I wish it were someone other than Rasmussen. He sucks from his disaster of 2000. Of course we can take concellation in the fact that in 2002 the dog was Zogby.
Out of these states I will say that Florida is a lock for Bush. Ohio is close to being and if those two go for him it matters little what happens to the rest of them.
State polls always lag behind national polls.
A lot of Freepers are saying national polls don't count, look at state polls. But, if the margin of popular vote is greater than 1.5%, the candidate will have an electoral win. PERIOD.
We're all doomed!
I miss Courage (not).
Bush is solidly ahead in his must-wins. Kerry's must-wins are in the "toss-up" column. So much for the first debate turning things around.
I agree. They're both possible, but I suspect Bush will squeak out MN and lose PA by 3 or 4, thanks to Philadelphia.
I didn't realize that he is gone now...
I heard that MOVIE STARS are out in FULL FORCWE going door to door asking for people to vote for Kerry.
I would love those snooty little twinkles to knock on my door...
Ohio people can not be that stupid to be fooled by this attempt.
"if those two go for him it matters little what happens to the rest of them."
Exactly. People forget that states like Iowa, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania would just be icing on the cake. The only 2 states Bush needs are Ohio and Florida. The polls showing Colorado as a tossup are outliers, and should be looked at but not taken for true.
How so?
The fact he still has Battlegrounds 47-47 Plus the fact Bush is still ahead on only 2 that matter
Ford almost won with a 2.00 point deficit. "A change of 23,182 votes (0.03% of national total) from Carter to Ford in two states results in a victory for Ford. Ohio - 5,559 votes (0.14%); Wisconsin - 17,623 votes (0.84%)." (David Leip's US Election Atlas).
Bush is going to knock Kerry into a never ending coma tonight!! They done pissed off the wrong Texan! The numbers will be better next week.
Good answer. Just checking.
