The VP had Edwards on the run, defensive and, at times, visibly frustrated.

The VP consistently offered clear answers, along with solid, real-life examples. As Senator, the Edwards voting record is pretty bad (eg, no shows) -- Cheney shed some light on that at various times throughout the debate. Wasn't it Edwards' hometown newspaper that referred to him as "Senator
Gone"?

This was it, folks -- Cheney has brought the discussion back to where it belongs: based on facts, not fiction. Nice job, Mr. Vice President.

Fox panel completely off the mark- giving a lot of credit to Edwards.
MSNBC panel looks like they are at a wake.

"I almost broke out the violins during Edwards' closing remarks. His dad learning math on TV?? America's light flickering like the light on the television?? Pass the cheese, please"!

I broke out too- laughing. Is the American Dream that all of us can someday learn math from TV? What a moron!

He did great but I wish he would have slammed edwards on the statement that "corporate executives pay less taxes that the troops on the ground in Iraq" Troops in Iraq and that entire theater pay ZERO taxes.

I didn't realize PBS had courses on tv that long ago. Am I wrong here? Has PBS been around that long really?

My thoughts exactly.

OK, we need the pajama bloggers to answer this question: In Edwards' closing statement, he told a heart-warming (barf) story about seeing his dad up late (or early?) in the glow of the tv, learning math. Did they have courses on the TV for math, and such, back when he was growing up? I mean, I know he's young, but not THAT young, right? I call BS on that one.

MSNBC is calling it for Edwards, 3 to 1.

WHAT? They must have been watching the Yankees and the Twins. Either that or they were polling members of the ABA.

Edwards looked like a lawyer....

His close seemed directed toward a gullible jury not a smart electorate.

Yes, Kerry did say we should lead by example on the nuclear weapons issue, and I've been bothered by that all week! He made a comment about it not being fair for us to develope nuclear weapons and ask others not to. I keep wondering if this is one of those 'global test' questions. "Is it fair if they have bigger guns than we do?" If we used that kind of mentality we maight still be fightin WWII!?! GEEZ!

Dude on Fox says Cheney looked "old",,can you believe that.

Practically anyone would look "old" next to Edwards, who looks like a 12-year old. Hell, he looks like he could be my kid brother, and I don't even have one!

Cahill was nearly incoherent in Wallace's interview on FNC. I think she's in shock at the damage Edwards did to the campaign tonight.

Vice President Cheney is the clear and convincing winner of this debate. There is no question about it.

Cheney had the perfect balance of attack, defense, charm, and utter dismantling of the Kerry-Edwards facade.

It was like he pulled the curtain off Edwards and left the little trial attorney standing in the cold in his boxers for the world to see just how much of a joker this clown and his medal-tossing cohort really are underneath the grand facade of flip-flopping to poll numbers.
