Rather Ambushed at Dallas Airport; Anchor Bashes Fox September 18, 2004 15:34:06 EDT Fox News has reported that Dan Rather received the "60 Minutes treatment" when he was confronted by a local Dallas TV reporter.
Rather has flown to Dallas apparently to help his CBS people in Dallas get their stories straight and bolster their defense. More and more media organizations are picking apart Rather's claims, as more is uncovered about the Texas Democrats who seem to have originated the story.
The reporter, from the local Fox affiliate, asked Rather if he felt he was duped. Rather shot back, "Do you feel like you were duped -- working for Fox like you do?"
Hmmm, and who is it that passed off forged documents in an attempt to smear the president? Fox? Dan's in no position to knock anyone at the moment.
It must really suck to be Dan Rather right now.
heheheh
hahahahahaha!!!
I would just love to see the media camped out at Rather's swanky NY residence, following him into work, stuffing a microphone in his face while the camera records his emotional retort.
(I don't believe it would ever happen. But it is fun to think about.)
Looks like Dan Blathers got some problems.
The pajama people will not be amused, however.
Get their story straight??
What part of FORGED documents do these numb nuts not understand??
The "interview/ambush" was much ado about nothing.
"No, I don't. Please answer the question, Mr. Rather."
I'd like to hit Rather over the head with my big bunny slippers.
OOOOHHHH...what a come back.........
"Do you feel like you were duped -- working for Fox like you do?"
Good old Stock Liberal Democrat debate tactic number 1. NEVER answer the question, avoid it by making a personal attack on the questioner. What pure scum Rather is.
I love it! This can't happen often enough. 60 Minutes has be so 'in-your-face' with people for years. Now you wonder if we have to go back and pick apart everything they have ever reported - if the past week is any indication, there is probably a large percentage of fiction in that tome of so-called 'journalism'.
Dan Rather is not an honest person. Whether he was duped or not is becoming irrelevant, given his continued coverup of criminal activity.
Ha Ha! How's it feel to BE the story, Danny? Huh? Take it!
Saw this and have it on tape ;-).
Just another example of arrogance that is bringing Rather down in his twilight years. I really had not paid a lot of attention to him or CBS before this Memogate...many are now paying attention to the bias of CBS and Dan Rather and their time is down....it's time ...for them to go and the people are speaking loud and clear!!! Are you hearing this CBS???
That reporter got exactly what he was looking for: he got Dan Rather to get mad enough to say what he was really thinking. And they are not pretty thoughts!
The implication being ... CBS duped Rather into doing a corrupt, fraudulent story ... and that Fox is a corrupt, fraudulent network, AND that the reporter (Dan) is as innocent and pure as the wind-driven show?
What does Fox have to do with Rather getting willingly duped by some phony documents? Nothing. This "news man" is on his way to the dog track.
