3 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS TO FLOOD THE U.S. THIS YEAR
Sun Sep 12 2004 11:39:54 ET

The U.S.’s borders, rather than become more secure since 9/11, have grown even more porous and the trend has accelerated in the past year. Based on a TIME investigation, it’s fair to estimate that the number of illegal aliens flooding into the U.S. this year will total 3 million, enough to fill 22,000 Boeing 737-700 airliners, or 60 flights every day. It will be the largest wave since 2001 and roughly triple the number of immigrants who will come to America by legal means, TIME reports in its cover story , "Who Left the Door Open?" (on newsstands Monday, Sept. 13th).

In a single day, more than 4,000 illegal aliens will walk across the busiest unlawful gateway into the U.S., the border between Arizona and Mexico. And many will obtain phony identification papers, including bogus Social Security numbers, to conceal their true identities and mask their unlawful presence. TIME’s Pulitzer Prize winning investigative team, Donald L. Barlett and James B. Steele, takes a look at the damage, the dangers, and the reasons America fails to protect itself as millions of illegal aliens pour across the U.S.-Mexican border this year, many from countries hostile to America.

...TIME estimates that as many as 190,000 illegals from countries other than Mexico have melted into the U.S. population so far this year. The border patrol, which is run by the Department of Homeland Security, refuses to break down OTMS by country. But local law officers, ranchers and others who daily confront the issue tell TIME they have encountered...intruders from Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Russia and China, as well as people who said they were from Egypt, Iran and Iraq.

Asa Hutchinson was bragging a few weeks ago that he was flying 300 a month back to Mexico.

====
lol

Free vacation home, then back across the border to the USA and maybe, if things go right, another free-fly home for Christmas.

The border patrol, which is run by the Department of Homeland Security, refuses to break down OTMs by country.

Not entirely true, since we have had the OTM figures posted here on FR before. I wonder if this is another example of a lazy journalist at work? And if that is true, how much of the rest of the investigative piece is subject to further scrutiny?

I hope to God that Americans never have to experience a school-related terrorist attack similar to what occurred in Russia. There is NO excuse for open borders, there is NO excuse for millions of illegal aliens being allowed to live in our country, and there is NO excuse for both political parties ignoring the dangers. We're being left wide-open.

And why not?

A Northeastern University’s Center for Labor Market Studies report

http://www.nupr.neu.edu/7-04/immigration_july04.shtml

showed that

between the end of 2000 and the first four months of 2004:

U.S. employment rose by 755,000 in total.

2.1 million new (i.e. post-2000) immigrants got jobs

958,000 fewer native born were working

352,000 fewer established immigrants were working

Happy days! for businessmen -- lower and lower wages! Let the taxpayers pay the social costs. Happy days! for businessmen.

More from the article:

John Ladd Jr., a rancher just outside Bisbee, AZ, is forced to work the equivalent of several weeks a year to repair, as best he can, all the damage done to his property by never-ending swarms of illegal aliens.

I'm on the east coast and just read a small article this morning in my newspaper that two men, one from Mexico and another from CA, were stopped on a major highway and troopers found $500,000 cash in a suitcase.

That is some serious lawn mowing :~)

Your tax dollars at work.

When will taxpayers revolt? When will taxpayers stop having their own money support the destruction of our culture and our sovereignty?

When will we have our 2nd American Revolution?

How do those ranchers cope with this day to day? I suppose it's their fault for having ranches in the first place!!!

That's gotta be the stupidest policy ever -- and Congress appropriated $20 million, if I have the correct figure, for this asinine program.

More from article:

The open borders, for example, allow illegals to come into the country, commit crimes and return home with little fear of arrest or punishment.

According to the CDC, we provisionally had 4,093,000 births last year.

Referring again to the CDC figures, without immigration, our net natural increase in population would have been 1,670,000.

With the estimated 3,000,000 in this report, that balloons out to an 4,670,000 increase in population (assuming that there is no significant population flow out of the U.S., which I don't feel ambitious enough to check), which puts it about 1.6% growth per year in population.

That's a pretty healthy rate of increase for a 1st world country.

When will we have our 2nd American Revolution?

We'll be enduring the 2nd Mexican Revolution before that happens. It's coming only due to open borders, much of it will take place on the USA side.

Oh, and lest you believe Asa Hutchinson's scre tactics about how much it would cost to fly them ALL home: 60 flights per day, 300 people per flight, $250 per person (generous - plenty of profit for the carrier), That comes to less the $5M per day. We could easily find and fire enough incompetent bureaucrats (who could then clean the toilets the illegals were supposedly cleaning) to pay for that.
