September 8, 2004 -- THE horror of the terror attack on a Russian primary school still resounds. From security officers to soccer moms, the sudden question is, "How can we protect our children from terror?"
In the short term, the only conceivable answer is to renew our offensive efforts against these butchers who claim to act in the name of their god. But a crucial part of the long-term answer is perfectly clear to the terrorists, even if we ignore it.
The terrorist assault on civilization and modernity has many aspects, from barbarism toward women to bombings and massacres. But no dimension of the struggle is more important than the Islamist war against secular education. All other progress flows from knowledge. And the terrorists know it.

Washington, London, Moscow and Tel Aviv could CRUSH islamic terrorism, if the four powers could strategically work together. Needless to say, that's easier said than done.
The first thing this country needs to do is make absolutely sure that Bush does his second term...otherwise we will be teaching Islam in the public school system -- A MORE SENSITIVE APPROACH TO LIVING WITH ISLAMIC TERROR.
Home School was my first thought.
Well we all know that "home schooling" will not happen overnight, so in the meantime Russia must join us in "war on terrorism" and W must secure the borders and deport the illegals!
I hate to say it, but my first thought on seeing this play out was, "Thank God and the FReepers who helped convince Dad to let me do it, that I homeschool."

The Thing everyone has to get over is the fact that Islam must be tamed. Victory means having an Islam that no longer calls for Jihad, no longer subjugates women, and turning currently Islamic states into places where there is true freedom of worship. These are the only true conditions of victory. Anything less amounts to denial of the problem.
I was reading a 9-11 FR thread he other day. The 21st post said we should nuke Mecca and Medina in response. I often wonder what the world would be like right now if we had done that on 9-11 in the heat of battle.

It may take a while, but this killing of children in Beslan, will likely inform many on the true nature of Islamic fundamentalist fanatics.
Last night on Canadian TV news was a major story about concern within Canada over Islamic clerics role in civil litigation.
It turns out that Canada allows religous ministers to mediate certain kinds of civil legal disputes and come up with binding non-appealable decisions. The Canadian government defended it as allow for a minister to knows both parties to assist in a divorce and bring the parties together in a way that is consistent with their faith and with their community.
Well it is exactly that reason that has Muslem women asking for something totally different. They were quoted as saying the Islam's subjegation of women is likely to result in divorce, alimony and child custody issues that will be unfair to Muslem women.
It is a strart and in ultra liberal Canada.
I have said for months that if there is another 9/11 then the Muslims in this country will have to pack up and go back to where they came from...
First time, shame on them, second time, shame on us!
And until the W administration starts enforcing the immigration laws of this country and securing the ports and borders, there is no "war on terrorism" and there definitely is no "homeland security!"

That's well said. Both radical and moderate islam must be either annihalted or dragged into the modern world. There are some modernized muslims who are understand this, but they are voices in the wilderness.
I'm afraid that we'll be in this until we have an attack worse than 9-11 and the general populace finally comes to grips with the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The only way we can finally crush the human filth is to BREAK them like we did to the Japanese, who were just as fanatical.
