I just listened to Don and Roma on WLS-AM 890 in Chicago. This is morning talk radio that tends to be conservative. They had their regular visit from Peter Jennings this morning (who comes on a few times a month).
After a brief talk about Arnold and the convention last night, Don asked Peter Jennings why nobody in the media will even ask John Kerry a question about the Swift boat vets' accusations or his Christmas in Cambodia. Peter Jennings responded that, (perhaps not an exact quote) "none of the Swift boat critics were on the boat with John Kerry."
That's right, he's actually reading the talking points from the Kerry campaign now. I know, I know......we're not supposed to be surprised at media bias, let alone Peter Jennings; but this was beyond even what I could believe. He basically said in the interview that he's not going to ask John Kerry any questions about any of the allegations, EVER, and that the Swift boat vets are liars.
This on is just beyond the pale, even for media bias...
You mean except for the one that served on Kerry's boat longer than anyone else served on his boat?
Actually there is one Swift Boat Vet who was on the same boat as Kerry, but I think it was during the period before Kerry got his third purple heart.
And Kerry was never with any of those raping, murdering, animal-killing arsonists he described for the Congressional hearings in '71 either. So I guess he never served with them.

His name is not mentioned as one of Kerry's Band of Brothers so he doesn't count!
Did you catch his "Yankees lost" shot after the RNC? Something about how Rudy was talking about the Yankees are like the Republicans or something on Monday night, but Petah then ended the show with "Just so you know, the Yankees lost 22-0"
I listened too, in fact I'm Nick from Bloomington who called in. I think I was a motor mouth, but damnit Peter Jennings was so full of it. How can he possibly say that there is "not an ounce of truth in UNFIT FOR COMMAND?
If Kerry does not respond to the question the book raises he will probably have to, on the night of the debates.

He's using a 2 week old talking point. Either Jennings is out of the loop or sKerry's war room is quiet.
Jennings needs to keep up.
That didn't stop the rats from going after GW Bush's National Guard service, now did it, Petey??? I am sure ya spoke on that, too.

How about Gardner he was on the boat. I thought that it has been established that Alton (is that his name), one of Kerry's band of brothers was not actually on Kerry's boat but on Peck's boat.

Jennings reminds me of an old embalmed head they defrost and put makeup on when they want some old "granpa gravitas" figure to spout DNC platitudes. No wonder he's two weeks behind the loop. He's gone from talking haircut to sanctimonious husk.
Jennings wasn't on sKerry's boat either.
