...Sources say that in recent weeks, word has gone out from Karl Rove's office that Republican congressional candidates who fail to "stay away" from the issue of illegal immigration risk losing the financial support of their national party...
One person with knowledge of the process says national party leaders and campaign officials vetted every delegate to the GOP convention to ensure support for an illegal alien amnesty eagerly sought by corporate lobbyists in Washington...

Why is it in the interest of the GOP to support amnesty for illegal aliens?
Looks like the Stupid Party wants to lose conservative votes.
Well, the GOP is keeping all of the fundamentalist christian leaders in hiding during the convention, as well.
I guess that they're just working to keep a specific image for the convention and to tightly control the message.
I am sure we will come up with the needed money it this is true. So come on Congress lets rumble. I since when soed Rove hold the purse strings?
This is absolutely sickening. Rove and the GOP should be ashamed of themselves.
John & Ken are on the case.

This is an absolute lie, there is no point in transcribing the rest.
So Republicans can pay off their corporate supporters.
GOP likes illegals because of the cheap labor, Dems like illegals because of the votes and gov't handouts.
This is all heresay and this thread should be pulled immediately.

It's in JPGs???
Freepers aren't welcome at the party. Our vote is expected though.
"...sources say..." says all I need to know. Lefty smear machine at work.
I tend to agree.
I'm really getting tired of seeing this unsourced stuff posted with nothing at all to back it up.
I thought it was only the dems who kept the left of centrist folks off the floor. Looks like the pubblies are doing the same with right of center folks.
It tells you who believes this drivel, though...
