Why is it in the interest of the GOP to support amnesty for illegal aliens?

So Republicans can pay off their corporate supporters.

GOP likes illegals because of the cheap labor, Dems like illegals because of the votes and gov't handouts.

They're holding up their end of the bargain -- Their corporate campaign donors keep the coffers full, and the GOP responds by keeping the flow of cheap (illegal) labor a-comin'. And then there's the added "benefit" of appearing "compasionate" and "sensitive," and therefore (hopefully) making inroads into the welfare-state electorate. The downside? It pisses off conservatives. .....a small sacrifice, apparently.

Sounds like the GOP has been infiltrated or corrupted. Illegal aliens are all criminals. What about the word "illegal" don't they undersand? Anyone who supports illegal aliens is a corrupt, mentally unbalances, a sleeper agent, and/or hates this country.

According to Vicente Fox, the USofA, Mexico, and Canada will unite under one trade zone umbrella, with Americans wages dropping to meet Mexico rising wages. I'm sure he didn't just pull this out of his sombrero, obviously it's been discussed and agreed upon and is going into effect at present. After Bush signs the FTAA agreement in his second term it will be a done deal.

That is why elements in the GOP are against closing or protecting our borders, they don't want borders hampering their free trade zone. So, there you have it.

As for this article, I don't think it is up to FR standards, I don't think FR accepts "reliable sources" as a proper source for an article.

The gop wants to win. It is the same reason the dems portrayed themselves as the war and patriots party at their convention.

The gop is much more for deporting illegals than the democrats, but they don't want this issue to show up in NY.

MONEY.

Corporate backers of corrupt, prostitute politicians want slave labor so they put more money into campaign coffers, often buying politicians and officials to turn their eyes from the felonies committed.

This proves what we have as an excuse in "leadership" is corrupt to the core - Rove and all his associates - resorting to intimidation and extortion to protect their money base.

It is no longer the government of the U.S. people, but one of the rich and greedy bent to turn the middle-class into third world similance.
