SPEECH REACTION: MSNBC LIBERALS ALL MOCKING EDWARDS TAUNT TO AL QAEDA!
MSNBC

| Matthews, Fineman, Andrea Mitchell & more

Edwards is getting skewered for his almost grinning taunt to AlQaeda ... Howard Fineman notes if that's the best the Dems have got then the US will decide "we need Dick Cheney". Andrea Mitchell notes that it's impossible for Edwards to say anything and come across seriously because he's so young and Scarborough cracks a joke about how AlQaeda cannot take "the Breck Girl" seriously. Meanwhile on CNN lib gal laments Edwards came across as a slick "game show host" and "Jr." by any comparison.

When you tune the Democratic National Convention in and for the first thiry minutes you think you are watching the Jerry Springer show, it is difficult to take anything serious that the Democrats are doing.

Edwards tried to play tough and threaten Al Qaeda, "we are going to destroy you" and amost started grinning before the words even left his mouth. It was amateur-city. and given all the progress President Bush has made, combined with the fact Edwards voted against the $87 billion, the whole thing left his lips with a touch of total insincerity it was the verbal equivalent of Dukakis in the tank.
To: Steven W.
Please provide the remarks by Edwards.

He promised more money, more hope, more happiness. He did not promise that we would be alive to enjoy those things.
Kerry and Kennedy and Clinton spent the last 8-20 years doing their best to avoid confronting the gathering storm that hit us on 9/11.
I trust no one but Bush to protect my family.
Make a commercial about the storm coming from the east...with the Dems laughing and hiding impeachmemnt papers and cigars...show the hit on the WTC...show families crying around the TV (like we all did)...remind them who went into action.

DEMS TOSS AMERICAN FLAGS ON THE FLOOR AT CONVENTION!
On FNC they cut to Carl Cameron out in the crowd and he was showing some signs that the crowd had...and he made note of...and the camera showed......how American Flags that the Dem convention goers had were just tossed on the ground.
I guess the dems thought that once the Networks were done....there was no more need to show pride in the USA.

His Al queda talk was brief. Mostly it was class warfare and a hope or excitement for the future. Fir anyone that uses emotion, he will do well.

I wish I would have thought of it first. Great tagline.!!

Frank Luntz focus group (I usually hate theses): "most of you liked some of the message but you didn't like the guy" ... what's up with that?
To: hope
It tells me that all of the phony window-dressing and supposedly trying to not make this convention a Bush-Bash fest has come unraveled, and they want to sound tough and really hard a@@ instead of wimpy.
