It was amateur-city. and given all the progress President Bush has made, combined with the fact Edwards voted against the $87 billion, the whole thing left his lips with a touch of total insincerity it was the verbal equivalent of Dukakis in the tank.

I think Edwards comments were carefully planned and executed just as they intended. Their goal is to make a mockery of the War on Terror. So breaking out in laughter while mocking bluster is just part of their plan.

Typical Dem strategy. If they can win an issue they trivialize it.

The best TV show of the fall season is going to be the vice-presidential debate. In 2000, Dick Cheney filleted someone as serious and substantive as Joe Lieberman. Can you just imagine what he'll do to "the Breck girl?!" While Cheney is not Mr. Pizzazz, he's got a razor-sharp, lightening-quick intellect and wit combined with a whole lifetime's worth serious experience in both the public and private sectors. Edwards may be in his early 50's, and he may be a successful trial lawyer, but he's barely out of diapers when compared to Dick Cheney's vast experience.
