I just received a phone call from a Slimfast rep. She said Unilever is referring all correspondence about Whoopi/Slimfast to them and they are then forwarding everything to the marketing dept. The marketing dept is deciding what to do but she wanted to let me know that they weren't ignoring my concerns. She added that she was appalled by Whoopi's "comedy" as well. While I thought they would eventually respond with a form letter and some coupons, I am stunned that they responded so quickly and it sounds like they're serious. I'm hopeful.

Good for you. However, be prepared for the next chapter:
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: NOBLE MARTYR, JUST LIKE MICHAEL MOORE

Dan
MCI fired Danny Glover after all the complaints.
E-mailing now.

Thanks for your efforts to 'Gloverize' Goldberg.
You've inspired me. I'm calling them too.
Getting WHOOPI for Slimfast was as smart of move as getting Monica Lewinski for Jenny Craig.

I have two computers - they're getting mail from both.
I also e-mailed Slim-Fast and told them I would no longer purchase their products as long as Whoopi Goldberg was their spokewoman. No reply yet.
This is an auto-generated response to let you know that we've received your message.

Cortislim is more effective.
Ditto...
Didn't slim fast also use Monica Lewdinsky?
Or was it weight watchers that used that pig?
Emailing them...bump!
Ah, it was Jenny Craig.
Since I don't use their product, did they stop using Monica as a spokesperson? I don't remember.
1-800-SLIM-FAST
Yeah. Reason was she really sucked.
I just emailed. Thanks to everyone who linked to the right places so I could get a note to them.
Maybe they could hire Moore to be their spokesperson...........EEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWYYYECCCHHHH!!!!!!!!

Email sent to Slimfast!!
Slimfast calls it "COMEDY"??? Therein lies the problem!
Does that really work?
Or, RACIST BUSH ADMINISTRATION LEANS ON UNILEVER, SACKS GOLDBERG FOR EXERCISING FREE SPEECH.
Bank on it.
'Member when she dressed up like a big gold chicken for the oscars? When FOTR was nominated...I watched it for the first time in years and was just astounded. Joshua sat on the floor and just stared in amazement.
I actually eat their bars often. Here's what I told them:
My wife and I enjoy you slimfast bars for breakfast on the run regularly. But since hearing about your spokesperson's foul-mouthed diatribe in New York the other night we have decided to forego future Slimfast purchases. That is, until you find another spokesperson without a potty mouth.
LOL--she uses it and it shows!!
YA BEAT ME TO IT!!! LOL!!!
Did you give them your phone number? I have not received any e-mail response but did get the phone call.
All I've gotten so far was an auto-generated email saying they would contact me in 1-2 days. I'm thinking that is in business days, so I'm hoping for a personal response sometime today. A phone call would be great!
These celebrities need to be held accountable for their actions. They have the right to spew their venom, and we have the right not to contribute to their already bulging bank accounts.
Godd for you!!!I emailed them myself........here's the EMAIL address....ALL Freepers please vest about this vulgar, potty-mouthed slime they call Whoopi: support@slimfast.com.
I just e-mailed them re: my disgust as using Goldberg as their spokesperson...
No, I was spared that.
I was a so-so liker of Star Trek: TNG. But for me, EVERY time that woman came on the screen, everything ground to a mind-numbing halt.
At best.

"Does that really work?"
You be the judge. I've lost 22 pounds, four inches off my waist, and I'm sitting here in my office wearing a pair of jeans that I couldn't get my expanding backside into for four years, at least.
I'm a satisfied customer. And I have no monetary connection with Cortislim (feel like I should include that).
It works.
Actually, she was dismissed because of multi-cultural sensitivity concerns. Once they saw her as the representative, Muslims expressed concern that pork by-products might be used in the Jenny Craig products. So the Jenny Craig folks got rid of Monica.
Slimfast Company president F. Daniel Abraham is a major Democratic donor who, with his wife, has given $1.2 million to groups working to defeat Bush.
They knew who they hired and I would be totally surprised if they did anything about it seeing that Goldberg is one of their own.
My wish is for them to fire Whoopi, too and issue a press release as to why!
Knowing that any argument smacks of the proverbial "singing lessons for pigs", I smiled, nodded and changed the subject without mentioning that this happened right around the time (slightly before actually) that Kmart went Chapter 7. (or was it 11?) Co-incidence?
TS
Excellent! I have thought of trying it but.... Way to go!
I just called, and once through their auto menu, I spoke with a very lovely young lady who was totally sympathetic to my call. She had said they have received numerous, numerous calls on Friday, over the weekend, and yesterday, and that they were documenting all of them. She said they were doing everything they can to resolve this issue. She said "her" remarks were uncalled for and unfortunate.
Take a few minutes to make the call, even if you've emailed (which I had done) ... they're listening.
Hey sandlady--
I called this Slim Fast toll free # 1-800-SLIM-FAST just this morning. (Don't be deterred by the error-type message that comes on first--just stay on the line and a service rep will answer.)
I spoke with a VERY receptive woman named Beverly. She assured me the company is interested in the publics' thoughts about the vulgar Whoopi 'act'.
She did not have a toll-free # for Unilever but said that she was taking notes while we talked (I could hear her scribbling!) and that this information would be passed along to the right people.
I told her that it would be wise to be pro-active on this--before either a video tape or transcript of this "performance" comes out. She agreed (I was prepared for a bit of verbal battling--it didn't happen--she was very sympathetic! Maybe after the Danny Glover, Dixie Chicks, etc. big business is learning...)
I gave her my name and my husband's to add to the impression of real people with real views. She said that they had had a number of comments already (no specifics tho'.)
I encourage all who want an easy, personal way to protest Whoopi (and by extension, Kerry-Edwards!) to give them a call.

Thanks for starting this thread ... I, too, am hopeful. See my Post #43 ...
Dear Slimfast:
I may be fat but that doesn't mean I'm stupid.
Yep. Hopefully, the next quarter will see Slimfast with profits that are SLIM to none.
Excellent information, Red.
All the more reason to bombard them with our opinions and determination to boycott their products.
Let them deal with their decisions on the bottom line--IN THEIR POCKET BOOK--tell me they don't understand that!
Thanks for sharing this. I sent them a longish email and hope to hear from them.
