Some moronic know-it-all thinks he got the best of Rush on a phone call a few minutes ago, but all he did was show what passes for "debate" in their pathetic world.
Rush was dissecting the guy's arguments in favor of unbridled lawsuit awards. When the guy saw that he had no arguments left, he resorted to (as always) the patented Personal Attack. He accused Rush of having sued someone, Rush stated he could not recall ever doing so.
But, as always, the liberal robot missed the point. Rush was not railing against lawsuits, but lawsuit abuse and the fat cat trial lawyers who get rich by suing companies to the point of bankruptcy.
Michael Moore called Rush?????
By the way, where is all that tobacco money the trial lawyers won? 30-40% in their pockets, in know, but what about all the rest of millions and millions.
How can anybody not remember if they sued somebody or not?
I heard it.
The point Rush continued to make is that there has never been such hatred of a president coupled with such little regard to the problems that the competition poses.
The trial lawyers own the Democrat party. The liberals want everybody to think that they are victims of Bush, Business, whatever.
In all the years I've listened to Rush I would not say that his response was one of his finest moments.
Okay, I must have entered an alternate universe. I KNOW that I just saw a headline that said something to the effect of "A Caller Nails Rush!"
Now I see this headline "Rush Just Nailed a Caller!"
I can't find the other article that I had clicked on but hadn't had a chance to read.
Being a middle class guy, I would certainly remember. But I assume multigazzilionaires have lawyers on retainer who may choose to litigate or join a suit at any time, with the multigazzilionaire getting only the letter to let him know about it.
It was pulled.
This is the Russian response to Barbarossa.
BUMP
"How can anybody not remember if they sued somebody or not?"
Having been sued (unsucessfully) I can understand Rush's hesitation to state catagorically he hasn't "sue'd anyone".
The reason is fairly straight forward. What is the second thing you do, when notified you are a defendent in a lawsuit? (first is call your own lawyer)
You "counter sue". By definition, you are "suing" the plantiff. While you don't think of it as "suing" anyone, in fact you are.
I only heard part of this.....not sure why, but I didn't hear Rush say he never knew if he sued anyone.
memo to Rush, there is a difference between punitive damages and compensatory damages.
I'll bet the caller was a lawyer and furthermore, I'll bet that Rush has filed a lawsuit or lawsuits that he doesn't want anybody to know about.
Whew -- I feel better now.
The caller couldn't even name a single lawsuit. Not very bright.
