Day Two of MK Bishara’s Hunger Strike
Israel National News (Arutz 7) ^ | July 4, 2004

(IsraelNN.com) MK (Balad) Azmi Bishara is in day two of his hunger strike protesting the planned route of the “Jerusalem Envelope” security barrier. He is holding his hunger strike vigil at A-Ram Junction on the northern border of the capital, drinking only water. He insists the planned route is discriminatory and does not take into account the needs and rights of Arab residents of the capital, including thousands who will find themselves on the PA side of the wall.

Bishara added that the removal of the barrier between eastern and western Jerusalem in 1967 was a politically motivated act as is the construction of the security barrier today.

Is this him? He looks like an Arab Peter Sellars.

I think that a nearby barbecue and an open invitation to join in is the most potent adversary a hunger striker could possibly have.

Does that finger he's holding up represent the number of people who give a rat's a$$ whether he lives or dies?

Indeed if he wants to die let him. In fact maybe Arafat and all the Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezballah, and Al Queda members can join him.
