Hey Leonard...here's my bright idea for the day:

A few hours ago, Mansoor Ijaz was talking about how a kidnapping 'target list' had been located....how about voluntarily inserting a tiny (and removable) locator chip in those guys? I think this technology actually exists.

Talk about lessening the need for scouring Riyadh!

What? You want the media to criticize our interrogations again.

>>In all these cases, non-Muslims facing jihadists could have saved themselves by passing as Muslims.<<

I pray that this is not what we will come to.
I could proudly proclaim myself a Christian, even through torture but if my children were involved, I'm not sure.

In the special features of Gladiator, you see the face of a young boy. As the camera pans back, he is being held by his Christian father who is praying as the lions are released.
If my girls were to be raped and tortured, I pray I could be strong for the sake of our immortal souls.
Would it be a sin to say I am Muslim to save my children?

There may have been two near current incidents in Riyadh, related or not.

From Jazeera (note "dissidents")

http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/653CA47F-E422-47F3-8B72-A85C7D1119AE.htm

Three men, one of them apparently a wanted dissident, have been shot dead by security forces in Riyadh.

Witnesses said on Friday that the three were gunned down during a clash in al-Malaz district in the centre of the Saudi capital - in what has become a bloody day for the kingdom.

The fighting broke out shortly after al-Qaida announced the execution of US citizen Paul Johnson.

Residents said one of the dead fighters was believed to be a top wanted Saudi dissident.

Unclear if Johnson's body found

Shortly earlier, an AFP correspondent saw dozens of security men deployed in al-Munisiyah neighbourhood in eastern Riyadh amid reports that the body of American aeronautics engineer Paul Johnson had been dumped there. But no body was found.

"Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula" on Friday night posted gruesome pictures on Islamist web sites showing a beheaded Johnson, with his head placed on his back as he lay in a pool of blood.

Security forces also cordoned off two locations in the al-Rawdah neighbourhood in the eastern sector of the capital on Friday night.

The Saudi Royal family is nervous. They know al-Qaeda has declared war on them and is trying to end their control.

The SRFamily need the US now, more than ever, for their own survival.

Maybe, just maybe, they will be more on our side. They are learning the decades of paying the terrorists to terrorize elsewhere is now coming home to haunt them.

It's just a cryin' shame they weren't so expeditious BEFORE they dealt Mr. Johnson his fate.

I don't buy it. I don't believe it. They're mouths were moving, therefore they're lying. It stinks. They're in cahoots.

not quite...I think they were terribly embarassed by the escape of the murderers of a few weeks ago.

I'm not defending the Saudis, but you can bet we will get substantial access to the bodies, and will get forensic confirmation.

Actually, I am glad if it is Saudi forces that did this...they have no "rights" issues restraining their use of deadly force.

You bet. The House of Saud is not to be trusted.

Although the clerics in charge would not be desireable.

So this guy being killed isn't a good thing? I don't get it. As for me, I am glad he's dead.

I'll bet they are glad they are dead. Otherwise, they might have been transported to Abu Ghraib and had panties put on their heads.

Gee, that was a quick I.D. Pardon me if I'm a little skeptical over all this crap.

Don't be a little skeptical. Be very skeptical. I hope Bush is very skeptical, too.

Body found solo.

Manhunt on.

Seige, another one.

Body found with jihadis.

Main jihadi dead.

You tell me. Multiple scenarios do confuse things, don't they.

And right after Jubeir's PressCon.

But, WHEN was he beheaded.

"Here's hoping Johnson's killer rots in Hell, while Johnson is blessed by God.

If his killer is indeed dead, he has learned by now what should have been obvious--that all pacts with the devil end the same way and that Satan is neither a loving, a loyal, nor a merciful "god".

That is awesome news!

Either put a (/sarcasm) on posts like this or reveal yourself as Dick Cheney.

I was just watching Fox News and they were interviewing some British guy who said that there had been friction between this Saudi AlQueda leader and bin Laden. Bin Laden had wanted them to focus on Iraq and to let the Saudi violence go for now. This guy basically defied bin Laden and told him that they could do both. Looks to me like he stepped on bin Laden's toes, and I wouldn't be surprised if they took him out, not the Saudi police. You don't defy bin Laden and get away with it. Like the Mafia, you don't create a problem for the organization. If you do...you're wiped out.

I was thinking the very same thing, and I'm sure his family is as well.
