Why no info on likely voters?
This is the first release from Gallup with a trial heat that they only showed registered voters...

Strangest thing about this poll is that Bush does best with "national adults" and worst amongst "likely voters"

I was reading all these glowing economic reports last week where even the job market is finally picking up.
And gas prices going down.
Surely this will give Bush a bump in the near future?

Gallup is showing W's approvals rising to 49% while he is simultaneously dropping in the horse race numbers.
In fact, the last time W. had a lead over Kerry in Gallup was when his approvals were at 46%
What's with Gallup this year?

It's not good when we do better with just "registered voters" folks...
Usually the GOP does better with likely voters......not in this case.
THIS IS VERY VERY BAD...

Some of us are stuck on an island in the South Pacific. What is it in January that dropped Bush and Raised Kerry voters in this poll amongst registered voters?

The only reason why Kerry is doing great right now is because he is keeping a low profile and keeping his mouth shut. His campaign knows that when he is too high profile his numbers start to go down.

A very strange result. Bush has been edging up the last few weeks (no bad Iraq news, economic news starting to make an impact) as indicated by rising job approval number, but horse race number out of whack with job approval number. 49% should correspond to a lead for Bush by something (2, 3 points?)

Slight Lead? I would say that W. is finished.

50 to 44 among likely voters is significant lead
To: RWR8189
Disappointing news since I consider Gallup the best overall polling outfit.
As others have mentioned though, it seems illogical that W's numbers would be falling at this time. The news has been largely positive, and his approval numbers are climbing upward again. I would really like to see a detailed breakdown of the respondents to this poll.

Still wondering who they are polling. Who can support a flip flopping bafoon who loves himself about all else?
