WASHINGTON -- The wife of a U.S. senator is in trouble with the law
Wanda Baucus is the wife of Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana. She is accused of assaulting a woman Tuesday at Johnson's Garden Center on Van Ness Street, Northwest.
Mrs. Baucus was released Wednesday afternoon after an appearance in D.C. Superior Court. She was officially charged with assault in court.
The incident happened in the parking lot of the garden center.
Sources told News4 that Mrs. Baucus was upset because another customer was getting help with mulch ahead of her.
Sources told News4's Pat Collins that Mrs. Baucus dropped a bag of mulch under the woman's car, then struck the woman in the body and face a number of times.
Collins reported that Mrs. Baucus drove from the scene, and returned a while later with her husband. That is when she talked to police about the incident.
A warrant for Mrs. Baucus was issued Wednesday and she was booked at the 2nd District police headquarters. From there, she was taken to D.C. Superior Court.
The judge released her on her personal recognizance on the condition that she stays away from the victim and away from the garden center.
The senator released a statement Wednesday, saying, "There was a situation involving Wanda last night. We are trying to sort it out, going through proper channels. I stand by her 110 percent, and she has my full support."

This sounds like an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." It seems that Larry David gets arrested or thrown out of a store in about half the episodes.

Collins reported that Mrs. Baucus drove from the scene, and returned a while later with her husband. Disgusting. The elitist b*tch thought the fact that her hubby was a U.S. Senator was going to get her off the hook.
And maybe since she's such a Saddam-lover they oughta throw in a treason charge.
Ah, for the days when words meant things...

This is off topic a little bit but still related.
There was a big hoopla in the office about a year ago about the Muhammid Ali museum coming to town.
One of the ladies got to talking about how unjust it was that he was imprisoned for being a contientious objecter.
I commented that it was totally just.
When asked why I felt that way my response " How can you claim to be a pasifist when you make your living with your fists."
Just another peacenik hypocrit.

As the previous article said:
The senator's wife, Wanda, a painter and anthropologist, has gone so far as to desecrate the American flag by replacing the stars with doves
Sounds like she's only a peacenik when she's not personally involved.

I always found the few people that I have met from Montana to be very gracious and pleasant. Salt of the Earth.
For those of you reading this thread; Washington, D.C. is Sodom & Gomorrah with a heavy dose of Machivellian Italy thrown in for good measure.
It brings out the very worst attributes of a persons character.
It takes a strong stomach and a strong sense of self to resist the nearly fiendish temptations this city has to offer.

torture millions
scam billions of dollars meant for humanitarian aid
but if you break ahead of her in line, she goes ballistic!

Could the victim be identified as a minority? D.C. has some hate crime laws, right? Plus a civil suit.
Wanda really messed up this time. Maybe Max should check her purse. I'll bet she's over-medicating.

I thought the dropping a bag of mulch under the woman's car was a nice touch.
I remember an airborne traffic reporter one day trying to give a live afternoon traffic report from on high but he couldn't stop laughing. He finally managed to share a problem happening at a busy intersection. Two women had run their vehicles into each other in a fender bender and were out in the street in an all-out brawl - punching, hair-pulling, slapping, wrestling etc. Apparently nobody wanted to stop it either!
To: proudpapa
Thanks for the site to the article. One thing it said was that they "engage in thoughtful discussions." I'll just bet they do. She talks, he listens.

Click on the source. There's a section there called Slide Show which has 15 pictures.
What an incredibly childish thing she did. Then, she ran home to get hubby to run interference for her.
