As amusing as this story is I'm not sure I buy it. I'm wondering if the guy had something he wanted to cover up, though I don't know what that could be.

Whittier.. What can I say? If one was to identify a brain dead area of Southern California.. Well, fine, it wouldn't reach very high up on the list.
The story strikes me as being bogus, and missing facts. The only problem is that it's believable because of where the man was from.
