He's on of the ratz...can't understand conservative thought...and is constatnly bombarding me with how"superior" and "cultured" the euaropeans are. feh.

Haha, sweet! However, I have to feel bad for the Spanish soldier, for all we know, he and the rest of them are brave individuals who believe in their mission. Their new leaders, however, are not thus.

Your legendary work aside, I dont like it... that is clearly an American Soldier you have defiled with a Spain flag.. please redo with a Spainish Soldier.. not an American Soldier.

Was just going to say that. I don't think it's fair to do this, because Spaniards have given their lives in Iraq, and foreign troops continue to die there.

The grunts on the ground are not responsible for the political changes in their home country. Honor the men. Brave men that gave all.

And let slip the dogs of war on the political class that brought us to this.

I concur, not really in good taste as I respect & share gratitude for their soldiers ... this might be a close 2nd to the Fonda improvisation fiasco.

Agreed, pray for the families of the Spanish Nationals that gave their life, (I know of 6-7 intel and one camera man).
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_casualties.htm

Let's hope these families don't feel that the price they paid for Iraqi freedom was due to the US lying and misleading the world like their newly elected Socialist government feels.

Very good, Registered. I see some posters with kneejerk answers about the Spanish soldiers.

Remember, FReepers, the Spanish soldier(s) are there willing to die to help destroy terrorism.

It is not their fault their countrymen handed their nation over to terrorism while they were fighting to destroy it.

The Spanish soldiers are in Iraq because their government told them to go. If they had a choice in the matter, many would likely choose to have remained in Spain.

Sure, some may feel that their mission is necessary. But I think most are just professionals who do what their paymaster tells them to do.
