Judges make law, executives interpret law. Its the new American paradigm.

In Massachusetts, the judges make law and the executives and legislatives do nothing. In San Francisco, its the people who make law, and the executives and judges who flout it.

Bush's weak spot is his core because he is not addressing domestic issues.Domestic issues are a lot more than money matters and tax breaks."Being troubled" ain't gett'in it!We don't need to discuss a constitutional amendment because it is the remedy and must be acted on immediately.Just draft it,give NO outs, vote on it and lets go!

The homosexual orgy in SF is still going on. Who's going to clean up all those used condoms? Taxpayers?

All that work to justify and force their fetish onto everyone else who doesn't want it. Sigh.

Gay marriage is no more legal than a gay-goat, or gay-jackass, marriage, etc., etc.--results are the same!

You are wasting your time with these guys.

"I don't give a d@mn if you have him on video tape raping and killing a women on the white house lawn............."

Same mentality here. No matter how bad he is the other guy could only be worse.

What I don't understand is how do we ever expect a change as long as we tacitly approve?

Right. Their mission is to undermine the Republican Party, and shake its foundations until they're rendered meaningless.

Big Tent, don'tch know.

"I am watching very carefully, but I am troubled by what I've seen," Bush said."

Keep watching and when the whole country falls away from the grace of God then you can say "I saw it Happen".

The truth would be more like "I am weighing the political ramifications of taking action on this."

Just send Ascroft down there and start throwing the Mayor and the the judges in jail for violating the law. Make sure CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, and NBC are all there to see it. Now that would gain you some votes.

A good ambiguous statement like being "troubled" serves his purposes.

Oh, great Super Secret, Super Genius Plan number 12,345.

"Asked how she feels about the issue personally, Mrs. Bush replies: "Let's just leave it at that."

She is pro-Choice...So it is not hard to figure out. Even if Bush has Christian tendencys that does not mean his wife does as well.

Checked and didn't see this posted. Bush's take on the ongoing "marriages" in San Fran. "Troubled?" More like "sticking finger in the wind as there's an election coming up and don't want to be portrayed as a mean old Republican."

"To every thing there is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven."

In other words, like a good Napa Valley wine we must sell no Constitutional Amendment before it's time.

"we have supported and voted for men such as President Bush who appointed these pro-abortion, pro-homosexual judicial activists"

Where have you been for the last three years? President Bush's judicial nominees are still stuck in limbo because they are NOT pro-abortion, pro-homosexual judicial activists.

The media's looking for a "good guy" and a "bad guy" in this story, and any kind of arrest will immediately anoint Newsom as the media's persecuted "good guy". Please remember that most everybody at the editor level was only a kid, or a really young journalist at the time of the 1960's civil rights or 1970's women's rights movements....

To all: Excellent analysis. Click and read.

In some ways, a righteous life-saving elected official in a culture steeped in evil attitudes and behavior must behave a bit like Raoul Wallenberg (and Abraham Lincoln).

I think Rove is polling to see how much of the conservative base would not show up in Nov. or go third-party if Bush doesn't go for the constitutional amendment. I think this is pure political calculation, not a matter of moral conviction.

Personally, I don't get the impression he's very opposed to sodomy marriage.

I did watch this press conference (photo op with the Tunisian leader). The president looked tired but rather handsome. You could see him more as he is to the people around him. He's actually far more personable in these little vignette press pieces than a SOTU or public appearance or press conference. This is how I like him best. I rather regretted feeling that I may not be able to support him in the fall, given the present direction of his leadership (GOP spending and liberalism). It's not good if you basically like the candidate but wonder if you can vote for him and still have any principles left.

No need to rush to judgment on this one.

Huh? MA will start issuing licenses in June.

It's already late. It will be much harder to do anything after they've received legal licenses. We can ignore the little SF propaganda civil disobedience by elected officials. That's just SF. But when MA does it, it will be legal and will set off a round of court battles immediately.

Half right:

Article Five of the U.S. Constitution
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution,
-or-,
on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments,
-which, in either Case-,
shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

The Bogus Homosexual Marriages in SF is a state issue.

However, congress has the option to "override" any federal judical ruling. It's delineated in the United States Constituion: Article 3, Section 2, Cluase 2:

http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20031006-085845-5892r.html

Congress rarely uses this excption though..............

I'm torn, one said 2/3rds majority in the Senate and Congress, you say the people.

Is your source anything in law or are you saying that this is the way YOU think should be right since this is our country?

If it takes a 2/3rds vote, they won't do that to San Francisco, but if forced in the light of day to change the Constituion to a Man and Woman only, they'd have to IMO!
