What happened to the comical choice? At one point you have a faux "Elvis from the waist up" shot while "The Dirty Dog" was going on and then a full blown shot of JJ's particular particular...
I'm still laughing at the lunacy of it all.

I'm not voting on the site, but I'll vote here.
It was sick. And Timberlake's apology was an insult to everyone who saw it.

I just lived through the Super Bowl Experience and sad to say it's not something to be proud about. The city of Houston had trash all over the streets. I was quite embarrassed from the results.
To: Orange1998
We turned off the show when the creepy guy wearing a backwards flag for a shirt started chanting about taking topless dancers to bed.
Thankfully we missed Janet's water balloon display.

The big thing for me was Kid Rock wearing a desecrated US flag as a garment. That's when we turned it off. Came back in the third quarter. Good thing the game was the flip side of that soft-porn halftime show.

I could not stand he was wearing the flag so I stepped out to turn over the bacon wrapped jalapeños on the grill.

"The big thing for me was Kid Rock wearing a desecrated US flag as a garment." Ditto! Cutting a neck hole in the flag to use it as a serape is desecration.

Actually the attendees where quite tame. Beer bottles all over with paper trash blowing in the wind. Not a pretty sight.

I'll make jest of JJ's exposed "moose-ear" BUT I'm not very happy about the flag stuff. I understand that KD is considered a staunch Republican and some may say that he meant no disrespect ... well ... perhaps if he had taken his patriotism a little more seriously ... maybe even to the point of really meaning it ... he would have KNOWN not to desecrate the flag the way he did.

I only listened to the damned thing because of all the Van Halen reunion rumors. I tuned out all of that rap crap, and missed the incident completely.
To: Orange1998
I didn't even notice it happened. I only became aware that Timberlake and Jackson had cooked up something outrageous after the game ended.
Did she walk around with her breast bared for some considerable period of time? Or did she cover it right away?

MTV is filth, CBS makes billions on filth they purposely pour out on the airwaves, and now the NFL has jumped into the same gutter with the filth. CBS is merely functioning/working as usual, MTV is pushing what they make billions on--degeneracy of society--and the NFL has lost its way ... but I'm not surprised at any of it! Turning off the filth laser of the alphabet networks into the eygate is the only thing left to the average fool, nowadays.

Fortunately, I had no interest in the half-time circus and switched over to Independence Day until the game resumed. Our society seems to have accelerated its headlong rush to hell for some reason ("entertainment" types rebelling against Bush administration???). It sounds like this orgy would have been more fitting during the klinton reign.

Yeah I would give it "5 Cigars"
To: E=MC2
The show was disgusting and it sucked big time. These shows always have to push their little puppet "entertainers." I've never seen anyone I listen to and like. Janet should be charged with indecent exposure. Further, who listens to, now and then, any of the Jacksons. I always thought they all stunk.

(If we don't post, will they exist?)
An overblown publicity stunt that was a big success for all the entertainers involved.
Will everyone turn off CBS for a while - NOT BLOODY LIKELY!
Sidebar: - as usual the hollywoodies who want to be outrageous and shocking don't have the courage to take credit for their actions. Their apology prolongs the publicity though. I'll give it at least four days solid on Katie, Oprah and CNN. Diane Sawyer and BahBah WhaWha Specials will take a couple of weeks...

Ho Hum, who really cares?
This is so mild compared to standard programming fare it is not worth mention.
In much of the world it would be nothing unusual.
I never watch football, and this does not inspire me to begin doing so.

A few years ago Drew Barrymore flashed on camera CBS' David Letterman on his birthday, Les Moonves was CEO then too... yes, this is typical CBS fare.

Agree. We are seeing the results of pornography in our society. Those that absorb pornography think they have to spread the wonders of it to mainline media entertainment.
In reality, they have cheapened and demeaned themselves and we are seeing the result. Garbage in - garbage out.
They do not even realize it is garbage - which shows where they stand.

The big thing for me was Kid Rock wearing a desecrated US flag as a garment. Yeah that bugged me too. I'm old enough to remember that our flag is NEVER to touch the ground. Then here's some grunge rock punk WEARING the flag...cut through and all draped over his body. Way too much for me to handle. What's the NEXT SHOCKER? Oh wait I think I know that...............

Sidebar: - as usual the hollywoodies who want to be outrageous and shocking don't have the courage to take credit for their actions. Of course not. They're all pointing fingers at each other. And you know what would be really "shocking" and "cutting edge" -- for artists to actually sing their songs live at the Super Bowl instead of lip-synching and stripping. What a concept!
To: arasina
Just think what the celebs are going to have to come up with to outdo each other next. Maybe public defecation as entertainment? That's what I was saying on another thread. Maybe the Super Bowl halftime show next year can consist of all these "stars" taking a dump on stage.
To: Orange1998
I didn't see the incident with Miss Jackson, took a much needed break just before the BIG ending.
The wife and I both agreed that this was the worst halftime show we could remember, thanks MTV and your sponsor, AOL 9.0 !
To: Orange1998
What ticked me off more than anything is that the network was focused on a few flag placards that were held in the upside down (distress) position during the national anthem. It was definitely on purpose, as the camera was in an upper level and panning down on the audience and field. They could've made any angle, but went for that one. That did it for me.
