Iraq Blasts May Have Killed More Than 100 6 minutes ago
By SCHEHEREZADE FARAMARZI, Associated Press Writer
IRBIL, Iraq - Two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the offices of two rival Kurdish parties in this northern Iraqi city. Kurdish officials said casualties were still being counted, but one minister said the death toll could rise above 100.
The dead included the governor of the region, ministers in the local administration and several senior officials, Mohammed Ihsan, the human rights minister for the Kurdish regional government told The Associated Press.
"These figures are estimates but I believe about 60 people were killed at the PUK and about 80 at the KDP. There are a tremendous number of injured," he said.

"Ideas have consequences."
The common "ideas" that these suicide bombers and terrorists have is Islam. Islam. I suspect "the world" will just ignore the truth that Islam is the idea behind so much of the mahem this world currently is going through.
Okay, the truth is that Evil is behind it, and that Evil is expressed through Islam, Marxism, Atheism, etc....
But they're blind who don't see the evil of Islam.

From FOX...
Four hours ago, two seperate men with bombs strapped to their bodies, walked into two seperate buildings at opposite ends of town.
Big celebrations going on, four day Muslim Holiday "Feast of Sacrifice", could not understand reporter..
Homicide bombers walked right up to dignitaries.
At least 57 at this outbreak of violence in Northern Iraq.

Al Qaeda. It appears to me that this is a clumsy yet violent attempt to get two rival parties warring with each other.

If these numbers holf up, these are the biggest terrorist attacks in Iraq since the start of the conflict. Iraq has about 25 million people; America has 300 million. Thus multiply by 12 to get a proportioanl number murdered: It is as if 1,200 were killed in America, almost 1/2 of those murdered on 9/11.
Of course, the basic measure is that all lives are vuluable in themselves, not merely in relation to the larger nation, but in any case this is a terrible thing that happened.
