I agree with those who predict a Clark/Hillary ticket. If Clinton has anything on him, they will hope he is elected and then drop the bomb, force his resignation and then- boom- President Hillary. That would make more sense than Boortz's conjecture. And if that ticket loses Hillary still would be able to run in '08 without being saddled with the embarrassment of she herself losing to GWB in '04. ....she could blame it all on Clark.

I,for one, would like to know why Clark was fired. It should be public info. for an individual who intends to run for the most powerful position on earth. We all deserve to know, and I can't understand why it has been secret to this point.
This can turn out to be a pissing match. I can hear the lefty pundits now- "They want to know about Clark's records when Bush refuses to release his military service records" (reference to the AWOL from Alabama National Guard charge).
There is enough to fight Clark (and Hillary) on the issues and on plans for the country without trying to snipe over the past. The worst thing about using the past as a weapon is that it seldom relies upon the true story- more often the winner is the one with the best spin. I'd rather rely on Bush's performance as President vs. what the Dem intends to do with our future.

Clark claims credit for waging and winning 'his' war.
He 'fought' it from 30,000 feet...killed maybe one or two enemy tanks, a few score of their soldiers...and 500 or so civilians. His enemy threw in the towel only when the 'brave' general directed the cluster bombing of city populations, in their markets and squares.
He brings to mind another vainglorious and foolish general who slaughtered women and babies, and we all know what happend to Custer.

I've said for months that Clark will be the Dem candidate. I think it will be a Clark/Clinton ticket. Conservatives are pissed at GW for his illegal immigrant stance, and it's going to divide the party.
God help us all.

I pray that you're right, and that Hitlary runs this time, at the top of the ticket. We're in much better shape to take her out this time than I predict we will be in 2008. Nothing short of a sound defeat at the polls, or a prison sentence, or the ravages of age will take her down.

Sound like about a 30% chance of reality here, but who knows? I say a ticket of Clark/Clinton is as big of a possibility.

"They have to be pretty power hungry to set up a guy so he can lose."
The Clintons' raw lust for power is frightening. They will stop at NOTHING to obtain and keep power. The Princes in the Tower redux.

I have vigorously and avidly studied Custer, and in particular the Battle of the Little Big Horn, for the past forty years. And your comparison of Clark to Custer is not that far off. Custer, too, toyed with the idea of running for president -- and as a Democrat. Had he not ridden into thw wrong end of history in 1876 there is no doubt in my mind he would have sought the nomination of the Democratic Party once the Sioux Campaign was over (too bad for Custer, it was over for him right after it got started).
