Jupiter closest distance to earth 365 million miles
Saturn closest distance to earth 745 million miles
Uranus closest distance to earth 1.6 billion miles
Neptune closest distance to earth 2.7 billion miles
The gravitational force between the Sun and the Earth is about 3.54x1022 N. This force keeps the Earth orbiting around the Sun. The gravitational force from the other planets does slightly affect the Earths orbit, but the gravitational pull from the other planets and the Moon is still very small.
The gravitational pull of the Moon on the Earth is only 0.55% (one half of one percent) of the gravitational force between the Sun and the Earth.
When they are closest to the Earth, Jupiter only exerts 0.0062% of this force and Mars only 0.00023%.

What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?.
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?
"Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if... We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.
― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
"Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves."
-Sir Winston S. Churchill
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

A Bitter Truth. - "It is true that ... war, famine and economic disruption are coming. It is true that these will almost certainly lead to massive flows of refugees. It is also true, whether we like it or not, that the West cannot possibly absorb even a small fraction of these refugees and survive. A stable and peaceful society is a fragile thing."
