Loretta Sanchez Weighs In: Loves Bush's Plan
West coast power house KFI LA radio/ Host John and Ken | 1-7-04 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 01/07/2004 6:42:40 PM PST by Joe Hadenuf

Some comments from the largest powerhouse station on the west coast.

Playing tapes, Loretta Sanchez was gushing over this plan stating she loves the plan.

John and Ken asked some basic questions: How is an employer going to prove that he offered a job to an American citizen first?

How is the federal government going to check every single employer? How could this ever work?

Who is going to send them home?

It's not *automatic* amnesty, but incremental amnesty. This is exactly what this is, slow motion amnesty. They both stated this is going to be a nightmare on top of the existing disaster. This is nothing but amnesty and will cost us all billions more in taxes.

This is going to cost the country billions, more overcrowded schools, jails, freeways, more programs, jammed hospitals, etc etc.

50,000 watt KFI LA is asking if anyone is buying this plan? 99 percent of CA callers seemed quite outraged to put it mildly.

This is going to create another *massive* government bureaucracy and it still wont work.

KFI radio is no back water station. It's the west coast blow torch station. John and Ken just stated, the President and the government must think we are a bunch of idiots, and added that it's absolutely disgraceful.

They also added and both host agreed, that the Rush Limbaugh was doing nothing but spinning this today.

10,200,000 unemployed Americans. Who held all these jobs before the waves of illegals entered?

We need a Presidential candidate that is hard line on immigration. This current plan will cause nothing but chaos and problems for years to come.

Guest Tancredo came on and stated that Bush said the present law isn't working, yet they have refused to enforce the existing laws. Adding along with our existing laws, there are many solutions to stop this.

Trancredo states there is nothing in this that helps America. He states eventually there will no such thing as illegal immigration, and if one can get here, pay a small fee, that's it, they'll be legal.

Tancredo states, these employers will think, "Hey, I have ten opening that pay $10.00 an hour, if I just list them for $6.00 an hour, no citizens will show up, and my bottom line will look much better". Yeowza!

I hope many others tuned into this program. It was great. KFI was a key player in helping Gray Davis swing from the political rope. These guys are on the case.

Chris COX 949-756-2244 is waiting to hear from his constituents.

Go to KFI website. There is a list of representitives that can be emailed. I suggest everyone that cares go to that site and email these people.

Progam is still in progress....

We have the highest rate of structural unemployment in U.S. history next to the great depression (that is, jobs disappearing permanently as opposed to going away for short periods due to seasonality and cycles). BIG difference. Also the total govt. % of unemployed will ROCKET in future business cycles when we include all the illegals the WH wants to include. It will bring our % into line with the higher "historical" norm you speak of -- and, after a few business cycles, into line with the worst performing economies of the world. This is the agenda, after all...a race to the bottom of a single integrated global market.

"No wonder La Raza is upset; they've been out-Foxed."

La Raza is upset because, as their spokeswoman said last night, the Bush proposal "doesn't do enough for latinos." In other words, La Raza thinks it's just fine for non-latino illegals, but latino illegals "deserve" much more.

Ah, but you forget that in the San Antonio phone book (and I suspect L.A. and Phoenix as well), you have 10 pages of people named Juan Garcia, another 10 for Jose Sanchez etc, etc. It's the same nightmare we have in trying to track the millions of Mohammeds in the world. It will be impossible to enforce this 3-year rule and any thinking person knows it. These people DO NOT PLAY BY OUR RULES, get it? They come from a law-breaking culture and know that we do not have the will to enforce immigration laws.
And as for you who think they will pay taxes on their minimum wage jobs, you are dead wrong. They will be joining the millions who get the Earned Income Tax Credit from YOUR paychecks. Wake up and smell the coffee, people. Jorge Boosh has just sold out the middle-class and lower middle-class with this pathetic proposal. Turn up the heat on your Republican Congressmen and let them know you will not be voting for them if they let this go through.

"We're talking about the future of the country here. I'm not prepared to give it away to anyone, let alone a third world country who has been in existence hundreds of years longer than the US. They're not our responsibility and it's time they stood on their own two feet."

Are you talking about Mexico? Mexico did not become an independent country until the 1820s, about forty years AFTER America became an independent nation. Before that, "Mexico" was a part of Spain, and before the Spanish arrived, the area that is now Mexico was populated by a few dozen fdifferent Indian tribes, the largest of which were the Aztecs. Mexico, as a nation, did not exist until the 1820s, with the rebellion that brought about independence from Spain.

"I wonder why the Europeans didn't try something similar a few decades ago? They could have come up with neat sounding slogans like 'Macht Mich Frei' on the gates to their prisons."

Um, the slogan was actually "Arbeit Macht Frei" (which translates to, basically, "Work Will Make You Free").

"This proposals does NOT make illegal immigrants into legal immigrants. It allows them to become temporary residents if they plead guilty and apply, or go back to Mexico and apply."

That is a very simplistic explanation, and if that were the whole of the proposal I wouldn't have as much antipathy towards it. However, it is NOT the sum of the proposal, and therein lies the problem. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

The unemployment records just show the number of people who are collecting unemployment benefits. The true number of unemployed persons is much, much higher than that, and includes people who have run out of unemployment benefits, those who didn't qualify to receive those benefits in the first place, those who are on disability (but who are still employable), etc.

Machinery and innovation is always the key. Throwing extra bodies at the problem is the traditional formula for short term profits and a longterm innovation plateau.

In restaurants, construction, and maintenance work? I don't think so.

I'm not talking about Mexico as an independent nation but rather as a collective people on the continent. The American nation technically began with the Puritans arrival in the early 1600s, even though it was under British rule till the 1770s.

But even so, as an independent nation since the 1820s, they're not doing very well. They need to stand on their own two feet, why do we have to take in half their population because they can't prosper for whatever reason? And I would feel the same way about any other country who was dumping their citizens on us in this way.

If a restaurant can't find American citizens to work for them at decent wages then tough, they can close their doors and get into something else. We don't owe anyone a living now do we? That's what I keep hearing from the "free traders" who think outsourcing is so wonderful.

What does that have to do with importing foreigners to keep a few restaurants going? I don't care about them anymore than I care about the apple farmer on TV yesterday whining like a new born baby because he can't find anyone to pick his precious fruit.

It's not right that we have to take in half the world and educate, medicate and incarcerate them so a corner restaurant or an apple farmer can stay in business. It's not worth it to us anymore and is becoming too expensive.

Would you like to throw a few more segments of the economy overboard in addition to food service and agriculture?

This country will survive if a few restaurants close.

Farmers yes it's preferable they stay in business so we have an internal supply of food, but they need to mechanize more. We can develop and deploy machines capable of reducing their labor needs dramatically. If the government really wanted to help farmers that's where they would focus their attentions, not importing a new slave labor class. We can't take in the world anymore, it costs too much.

"Due to the tremendous changes in electoral demographics over just the past 4 years, if Bush maintains the same demographic percentages he did in the 2000 election he will loose by 2 million popular votes and will be wiped out in the electoral college"

Apparently Hispandering is a must for Bush.

The overwhelming majority of voters are against illegal immigration. Eighty percent of the voters are either conservatives or moderates. GWB is Hispandering for other reasons.
