A moving e-mail I had to share. Brought a tear to my eye, even a week later.

Just one tiny detail was wrong, the DHL plane was not shot out of the sky, it was hit but made a remarkable landing with a wing in flames.
Otherwise this is a moving testament.

"How you doin', captain." I smiled and said "God bless you, sir." To which he responded, "I'm proud of what you do, captain." Then moved on. He's a good, honest man. Nice to have him as our president.
Good post.

"Troops bounded to their feet with shocked smiles and just began cheering with all their hearts.
The building actually shook. " how sweet it is...

My new conspiracy theories, because the Democrat media is falling flat on it's collective arse with the Halliburton centerpiece Turkey crapola. Dem. operatives can Freepmail me for further talking points...
"Bush went to Iraq at the last minute because the twins finally told Laura and he they weren't coming home for Thanksgiving. It seems the Secret Service agents are keeping a further distance than they did with Chelsea, gving the girls greater latitude in socializing with the opposite sex." Go ahead Krugman, try it out.
"President-by-fiat Bush went to Iraq because he got wind of the plan for his old college buddies to hold a surprise kegger at the ranch." Al Franken, take it away.
"In a surprise move, President Bush went to Iraq today to avoid the Bush family reunion scheduled in Crawford. Our inside sources tell us the President was trying to avoid his niece Noelle Bush, and quote, stay away from the hard shit. end quote." Peter Jennings, roll with it.
/sarcasm
I was simply in awe when I turned the TV on Thanksgiving Day and heard the news, and still am.

That old Ric Flair said it best:
"To be the Man you have to beat the Man. A limousine-riding, jet-flying, kiss-stealin', wheelin' dealin' son-of-a-gun. If you don't like it you better learn to love it, 'cause it's the best thing going today!...
Whoooo!...Whooo!"

OMG...that was wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. Somehow the description of Pres. Bush by this soldier doesn't surprise me at all. I think of him in just that way. Honest, sincere and yes, loving. May God bless him, the troops and their families for the sacrifice they are making for us.....and thank you again for sharing this.
