Recently, a Western Washington University student by the name of Paul Douglas Revak pleaded guilty to the charge of trying to obtain explosives. Revak, a self-proclaimed anarchist, apparently grew distressed over the Bush administrations handling of Iraq. Frustrated, Revak decided to enact his own policy initiative. Declaring war against the government, Revak plotted to bomb the U.S. Coast Guard station in Bellingham, and allegedly discussed with students the possibility of bombing other military installations such as the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station and the Washington Air National Guard. Shockingly, the arrest of a possible terrorist in our midst received little to no attention from the media as a whole.....

Actually groups like ELF/ALF, PETA, GreenPeace, etc have been conducting terror, or terrorist like, attacks for years. The Left has also sent money (indirectly) and moral (directly) support to terrorists through organizations like MoveOn and ANSWER. These "peace ralleys" in DC and San Fransico had speakers activly calling for attacks on the Gov't and military. Stange, isn't it, that 10 years ago when so called militias were even accused of calling for attacks that the FBI and BATF were all over them, but now, not a peep about action against these leftists organizations. Various military bases have witnessed spouses and soldiers being accosted and we all know about the deceptive Red Cross death notification scams and the heartbreaks they cause.

So, in answer to your point, it didn't take long for the Left to plan attacks at all.

But other posters are correct. Attacking a military base directly with anything less than main battle tanks is tantimount to suicide for the attackers. If you think soldiers fight incredably hard for God and Country, just wait till you see how hard those of us left to man the bases at home fight to protect our and our fellow soldiers' Families if and when these leftists and their terrorist thug allies attack..

Thanks for the heads up. No major coverage in the press, and a federal public defender says this:

Plea bargaining the charge down to trying to obtain explosives, Hillier procured for his client a sentence of anywhere from 6 months to 10 years. Hillier hopes to have his client home for Christmas.
