Weil is downright arrogant, bragging how he taunted poorer peers by saying, "My family could buy yours."

Master Weil is lucky he isn't attending a gala in in his honor - posthumously.

Interesting ... makes me grateful to be me, and not them!

So I guess there is something wrong in marrying for love in the kids eyes. You know, there are more important thing in life than money. My only hope for these kids is that they see that before they waste their lives.

I saw an "Oprah" show about this documentary a few weeks ago.

The Hilton sisters were on and they did not know the words for "washing machine". They insisted they make their own money (though they do admit mom and dad help) - one designs handbags and the other is a model/actress. Can't we all just relate?

At some point in history, somebody busted their ass to make the fortunes these kids spend on champagne and designer handbags. Some of the uber-materialistic crap being peddled on MTV these days (see "Rich Kids" and "Newlyweds"). I don't begrudge people for having what most of us want--that being the freedom to do what we want. Leave envy to the leftists. Hope these people realize they can't take it with them.

I'm glad God chose not to ruin my life with money ;^)

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Champagne overflows glasses. Guests glide around wearing vintage 1920s attire -- handsome men in top hats, beautiful women in flapper dresses. Laughter mixes with the sound of Glenn Miller's "In the Mood."

Yeeeeech!!! I guess this isn't totally indefensible, since "In the Mood" was written in 1929. But Miller's version is from 1939. I hope they played some George Olsen, Paul Whiteman, Roger Wolfe Kahn, and Fred Waring at this party.
