LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Champagne overflows glasses. Guests glide around wearing vintage 1920s attire -- handsome men in top hats, beautiful women in flapper dresses. Laughter mixes with the sound of Glenn Miller's "In the Mood."Yeeeeech!!! I guess this isn't totally indefensible, since "In the Mood" was written in 1929. But Miller's version is from 1939. I hope they played some George Olsen, Paul Whiteman, Roger Wolfe Kahn, and Fred Waring at this party.
Heh... I was hoping they played some Jelly Roll Morton.
