MINNEAPOLIS — A wide spectrum of community organizations and labor unions have announced plans for protests outside of President Donald Trump's Minneapolis campaign rally Thursday.
They're predicting that thousands will converge on the congested area around the Target Center starting at 5:30 p.m. that evening, in an effort to counter the message the president's supporters will be hearing indoors.
"This group of people and all of the coalition have signed onto an agreement of making sure this rally and this protest is peaceful for everyone," Jaylani Hussein of the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR, told reporters Monday.
"We want families to come out here. We want everyone to come out here because this is about us. It is not about a few activists, it is about all of us."
Other groups that joined Hussein Monday afternoon outside the Target Center included the Anti-War Committee, Twin Cities Coalition for Justice for Jamar and a member of the AFSCME government workers union.

Perhaps these “community organizations” should be charged for the excessive security costs, which the city is trying to get from the Trump campaign.
Horrible advice. Nobody has to absorb a beating for the team. The tactics of conservatives taking beatings from Antifa has only spawned more aggression, and at the same time has not done anything to garner positive press. So no, don’t take a beating, defend yourself with necessary force.

Antifa will start the violence. And Patriots will respond.

What will the labor unions protest?
Too many jobs, too many manufacturing companies hiring in the US?
Maybe they’ll demonstrate for more illegal aliens to undercut more union jobs.
All they’ll really demonstrate is how low their collective IQ is since they support this crap by supporting the Rat party.
The majority of union members these days are in SEIU or government unions. They are not the traditional factory workers, electricians, mechanics, heavy equipment operators of yesterday's unions. IIRC Kennedy allowed government unions by executive order. Maybe Trump could undo that executive order in his next term.
This is terrible advice. It simply encourages the Antifa types to continue violent attacks, since they will face no consequences for them.
We are way beyond the point where we should allow ourselves to be portrayed as victims of any sort. "Non-violent" tactics only work when used against moral opponents. The Leftists have repeatedly demonstrated that they are not.
Let the Leftists be victims instead - of their own arrogant double standards. And do not apologize for resisting them.

And we all know the SEIU is just the illegal alien “union”.
But UAW/IBEW/IAM alphabet soup is still out there. Think most of their membership are actually Trump voters.
They’ll be inside the rally, not out.
