A Great America Requiem (Mass for the Dead)

We have already seen the entire media portray recalcitrant conservatives in the Republican party as ideologues. But the real culprits are progressives in both parties whose construct is the primacy of government regulations over free-market principles. While it may be too late for great Senators like Rand Paul to realize a free-market insurance model, it is the only viable solution to a government created catastrophe of immeasurable proportions which has consumed one-fifth (1/5) of the economy.

A Great America Requiem (Mass for the Dead) RyanCare died of natural causes, but Obamacare is a cancer in its fourth-stage that will die, but in doing so its disease will metastasize and infect one-fifth of the economy. The only hope for the economy is an old forgotten drug, one that can reverse one-hundred years of malignant government regulating. Rand Pull is proposing the life-saving drug, but republicans in name only (RINO’s) joined by every democrat in the House are having no part of it. RINO’s exist because in certain areas of the country a candidate with a “D” behind his name cannot be elected to federal office. RINO’s play the role that the Washington Generals played for the Harlem Globetrotters. You may recall that the Washington Generals never won a game, but put on great kabuki theater. RINO’s vote or not along with the democrats. For example, current Senate rules require 67 votes, yet those rules can be changed with help from the Vice President to allow the current Senate to pass a clean repeal and replace bill without splitting it up into three phases. RINO’s will likely not allow that to happen. The good-looking Paul Ryan knew or should have known that his kabuki theater presentation for the President would not have a full house. The pitiful, yet brilliant display of malevolent political acumen that Speaker Paul Ryan put on display was worthy of his Cheshire cat smile. Paul Ryan is not a true conservative and should join his predecessor and step down as speaker of the house. Not only did he blindside the President of the United States and nearly half of all the voters, he effectively crippled the President’s ability to convince business to invest in America since it is now likely that tax reform will be the second act of Ryan’s kabuki theater. Ryan, the failed Vice Presidential candidate is anything but a true conservative. Let’s start with the idea that a true conservative believes that the best choice is to permit the free-market to determine insurance coverage and prices. RyanCare didn’t do that. The progressives in both parties have had ample notice of things to come. It would not have taken a Svengali to lead the Republican Party to dismantle the bureaucracy. Regulators and legislators have held control over healthcare in a death grip for two generations or more. Chief Justice Earl Warren (an Eisenhower appointee) presided over the matter of Williamson v. Lee Optical of Oklahoma in 1955. In that case the court upheld a regulation that an optician may not fit or duplicate lenses without a prescription from an ophthalmologist or optometrist. The regulation prohibited even the replacement of frames to someone whose frames broke. The regulation greatly increased the cost to consumers, and was the harbinger of things to come in the healthcare industry. For six days and seven nights the citizens of ancient Rome watched helplessly as their city burned. Looking for someone who might be responsible, they blamed their emperor – Nero. Some rumored that Nero himself had set the fire believing that he used the fire to build a new city. He didn’t actually play his fiddle while Rome burned; but often, even today, that perceptions persists. Speaker Ryan has the support of a large majority of RINO’s in Congress, as well as the Democrats. I dare say that we can expect the liberal media to defend him if necessary. Without a doubt President Trump will be casted as the modern day – Nero. THE REALLY BIG FIX: The President must go back on the campaign trail and visit voters who have put RINO’s into office for perhaps generations and win over public support for his programs. Let his cabinet back in the Capital gut the bureaucracies and onerous regulations. Allow his effective press secretary to peak on his behalf to the fake news outlets who are not really interested in what the president is doing, but are only interested in what they can do to stop him from doing it. The less they know the better we will all be.
