President Donald Trump's core supporters are staying with him in his hour of need.
Polls by Gallup and other survey researchers indicate that at least 80 percent of fellow Republicans approve of his job performance, even though the latest Gallup tracking survey finds that Trump has poor ratings with the general electorate. Only 39 percent of Americans approve of his job performance and 55 percent disapprove.
But because his core supporters remain committed to him, it's unlikely that his overall job approval rating will decline much more, political strategists of both major parties say.
This is particularly important now because members of Congress are looking at his approval ratings to help determine whether they will support his early initiatives, such as the current House bill overhauling the health care system and his budget priorities. Remaining on good terms with Trump's base is important to many conservatives in both the House and Senate, both controlled by Republicans....

I remember when Bush gave the middle finger to his core supporters with his amnesty push. That is how he got to the low 30’s in approval ratings. I do not see that happening with Trump. If Trump is above 40% I think he will be fine.
I am and I will stay loyal. I actually feel for DJT and stand behind him 1000% I’m ready to have my ass handed to me but without DJT we’re doomed.

I do not support Ryancare.
I do not support DACA continuing.
I don’t really consider myself a Trump supporter. I’m an America supporter who realizes that we really dodged a bullet back on November 8th.
Trump is kicking ass every day. Why wouldn’t we remain loyal??? I’m not tired of winning yet. Keep stoking the fire on the Trump Train.

So far, he’s been GREAT to the base...but if he does get soft on Illegal Immigration, he will find himself VERY LONELY at the White House...while the long knives of the Democrats, plus a lot of Republicans work out a plan to drive him out of the White House.
If he stays with us, THE BASE, he is fine and will likely be in office until 2025 - if not, he’ll be lucky to make it through 2017.
Realisticly Trump is our only hope. If he can’t fix the system we’re looking at CIA deepstate rule followed by Military coups and revolution as the government loses ligitimancy. I support him even in the stupid Obamacare bill Ryan is pushing. Trump does everything for a reason and I trust that he knows something about this bill that I don’t.

ONLY as long as he remains loyal to his base. Should he double-cross us, he will find himself with NO ONE defending him. We are watching, and a bit worried, regarding his ‘soft spot’ for Illegal Immigrants, particularly young ones.
So - to Mr. Trump. PLEASE understand that we have ZERO TOLERANCE for people here ILLEGALLY, regardless of their circumstances - should you move towards the Democrats on this issue, YOU WILL BE IMPEACHED, as we no longer will have your back - and therefore the Republicans in Congress, most of whom would rather see you go away, will no longer worry about paying a price to get rid of you...and will vote to do so.
So, Mr. Trump, VERY SIMPLE, simply enforce the law. Get rid of Illegals as quickly as you can and DO NOT DO ANYTHING to ‘give them hope’. That’s all we ask - no need for huge roundups, just DO NOT do anything the Democrats want...and you’ll be protected by us, against removal from the White House.

Trump supporters know that polls like this are fake news anyway. And we are more than 50%.
