Fox News Poll: Clinton Ahead of Trump After Debate, Fear Motivating Both Sides
Fox Business News ^ | September 30, 2016

Hillary Clinton has gained ground on Donald Trump, who has slipped in key measures of the presidential race after the first debate.

First, the horserace. Clinton is ahead of Trump by three percentage points: 43-40 percent in the four-way matchup, according to a new Fox News Poll of likely voters. Her advantage is within the poll’s margin of sampling error. Two weeks ago, Clinton was up by one (41-40 percent).

Third-party candidates Gary Johnson (8 percent) and Jill Stein (4 percent) remain in single digits.

In the two-candidate head-to-head, Clinton tops Trump by five: 49-44 percent. Two weeks ago, Trump was up by one (46-45 percent).

The consequences of the debate, which voters score as a win for Clinton by nearly three-to-one, are even clearer on other measures. Trump’s honesty rating is down, most still say he doesn’t have the right temperament, and over half wouldn’t be comfortable with him as president....

If you look through those groups in the poll, the numbers don't add up.

I don’t believe Fox has ever given him a lead.

They never add up

These polls are so fixed it isn’t even funny anymore

I am going to show up and vote in November, I don’t care if Trump is ahead by 20 points or behind 20 points, I, like millions others will show up and vote Trump.

At this point, the media and their water carriers are dead to me

I don’t even watch TV anymore and have no interest in anything these talking heads have to say

I hope you're right. I remember hearing all this 4 years ago about the polls. We were all pretty confident Romney would win.

I don’t know what will happen in the end but certainly the few percent of Americans who have no core values and no awareness of the big issues are a pathetic group. Shifting in the wind over ridiculous stories is no way to run a country.

I wouldn't say "all". I would say "most". Other than that, I agree.

I agree - there was something weird last election cycle. With the BO approval levels and the economy, he should have lost.

Something motivated folks to vote for him.

Bingo! And a lot of other groups as well. I think another huge voting block who will come out for Trump this year are the apoliticals.

There are still alot of stupid people out there, folks. People that need persuading. It`s not easy, but try to engage some of the undecideds that you may know personally. When doing so, try to have a game plan. Be passionat but calm, and focus on people who you know to be reasonable. If we can all effect one or two people it can
make a difference.

Also, show your support with a bumper sticker, sign, or shirt.

I think there are three kinds of polls:

1. “Works for Hire” that put out the answers the customers who pay for them want to see.

2. Polls that attempt to be fair but are based on flawed samples, weighting, or are not scientifically conducted.

3. Flat-out made up fabrications intended to influence voter behavior (think “hockey stick curve”)

The bottom line is, regardless of which category they fall into, polls are biased at best, and corrupt at worst, and all of them are used for propaganda purposes.

Consider this in your voting decision-making process
Am Thinker ^ | Sept 30, 2016 | Jim Waurishuk

Donald Trump is being ripped apart in the news, the mainstream media, and the liberal left nonstop for being a private American citizen like most of us. Yet Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and the criminals occupying our government are not. The mainstream media is the Democratic Party. Stop listening to them and allowing them to influence your thinking with their Goebbels-Stalinist-Alinskyite propaganda. Stop being brainwashed, and start thinking for yourself, as an individual, as a private citizen, as a concerned American – about the Constitution, your country, your and your family’s and your children’s future, about America.

If you wade through the 50+ pages of data you can’t find any information on how it’s weighted. How many republicans, democrats, independents.

If someone can find it I apologize.

Also -

A core principle of science is that you should be able to conduct the same experiment time and again and get pretty much the same outcome. That’s why sampling theory is vital - suppose you gather a sample of 100 people and weigh them. A random sampling on various days should produce a mean and standard deviation. But if some days you take the sample outside the donut shop and some days outside a gym - might that not affect the outcome?

When polls of the same population taken at roughly the same time produce very different results, it’s a red flage. One or both are suspect, or the data has been manipulated to skew the results for a hidden purpose.

The Fox's internals:

The Fox News Poll is based on landline and cellphone interviews with 1,009 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from September 27-29, 2016. The survey includes results among 911 likely voters. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points for results among both registered and likely voters.

@VesseyKristine @IsaboSalem Hillary is up 3 in the Fox poll. She was up 1 and the sample went from D+1 to D+4. In other words, no move.
