"Some ideas are just too idiotic for serious discussion."

Seconded.

There are several Cruz delegates from Arizona who claim they will be voting for him on the first ballot, even though Trump won the AZ primary and they signed the pledge to vote for him.

Easy fix, Trump can change them out if they are planning on committing fraud. Any delegate making a public statement that they are not going to cast a legal ballot at the convention can be switched out. Trump's team is probably already on this and will have plenty of pro-Trump alternates ready for the convention. This isn't that hard.

Trump should lock out all other non-Trump delegates at the convention as well. This should be a 100% pro trump party. The debates are over with, they had their chance to make their case and the American people chose Trump.

he’s not a likable person.. he’ll never be President so stop trying to push this guy

Its not even that, its that Cruz is a big Bush person, we don't need Jeb Junior in there or anywhere near the presidency. The best thing Trump did for the republican party was ridding us of the Bushes, they have been a dark cloud over the party for the past 8 years. The party can grow again. Thank you Trump

Ted Cruz is well on his way to becoming the next Ron Paul. A candidate with a small, rabid following that never gets near the nomination.

1) If Trump wins the presidency, he will reshape the GOP. Cruz will be left on the outside looking in.

2) If Trump loses, the GOP establishment will retake the controls of the Republican party, and reshape the rules to ensure an outsider like Trump or Cruz can never win the nomination again (probably by following the Democrat practice of super-delegates). Cruz, again, will be left on the outside looking in.

Cruz's presidential hopes are over.

2DV, I am in favor of it PROVIDED: Cruz TOTALLY DISAVOWS TPP, NAFTA, CAFTA, the WTO etc., and comes out in favor of strictly bilateral trade negotiations with countries we like (like the U.K.)

He must state that the trade imbalances and job hemorrhaging are so dire that Tariffs may be in order for at least some period of time.

He must say that he is for an AMERICA-FIRST foreign and trade policy in every particular.

Otherwise, NO DEAL.

(I’m thinking he needs to URINATE ON THESE TREATIES on the steps of the Capital to show his sincerity . . . but maybe that’s asking a bit much.)

I’d say this one is a bit soft in the head - the guy who can’t/won’t endorse the ‘nominee’ is going to be chosen as his VP? Bwhahahah, that’s a good laugh for the day!

Btw, the never trump band of morons keep flooding twitter with the nonstory of the ‘star’. These people are freakin hilarious! I’m watching to see which of them jumps on the ‘America was never great’ meme, somehow I don’t put it past the Becks/Thors of the cabal.

I don’t think Trump wants or needs an unabashed Globalist in his Administration.....Cruz is a non starter despite Cruzers enthusiasm.

Note that globalists are faux conservatives. They have that same “hive” mentality that infects socialists/Communists... They are the Borg that can’t assimilate me nor, I hope, our nation!

Reagan ran in 1968, 1976 and 1980.

I think times have changed since Reagan. He didn’t have to contend with a 7/24 hour news cycle in which every small mistake, as well as the yuge ones, get magnified. Also, it’s much more expensive to launch one candidacy, never mind 3!

“Ted ain’t eligible...:

Last I looked there are still people insisting that when the Founders wrote Article II they wanted to include Cubanadians as eligible alongside of NBCs, Somehow the printer left it out.......s

I’m still looking in the Federalist Papers for that so I can’t say yet! Maybe our Liberal Supreme Court Justices can find it........they seem to find whatever else they want in the Constitution......sx2

Which explains why he never renounced his Canadian citizenship until after he was elected to the Senate.

Ted is dead.

(But only and strictly in the political sense, mind you.)

I still like your original position on this: NBC requires both your parents be American Citizens when you are born.

I think Cruz would be the best choice, if he would do it... Which he won’t.
