Trump nomination almost inevitable: Dyer
Dominic Dyer, fellow at the British American Project and Council says we shouldnt underestimate the possibility of Bernie Sanders supporters choosing to vote for Donald Trump if Clinton becomes the nominee.
Some Democratic Party supporters could end up voting for GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump, if he ends up battling against Hillary Clinton for the White House, one expert has told CNBC.
"Trump's an outsider but he's been very, very successful," Dominic Dyer, fellow at networking organization The British American Project and Council, told CNBC Friday.
"Yes this campaign's been based on fear and prejudice to a degree, but (Trump) has gone in right on those trade issues, the issues that really worry a lot of working class Americans about the fact that they're working harder for less today. That resonates with the Bernie Sanders campaign as well."
"If you look at the swing states - like Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania - these issues of trade and issues of Americans working harder to stand still in the last eight years really resonates with voters."
"And I have no doubt, that some of the grand swell of support that's gone to Bernie Sanders could move over to Trump and I don't think we should underestimate the impact of that," Dyer said, adding that he believed this trend was already emerging....

The same thing can be said about republican non Trump supporters voting for Hillary if Trump becomes the nominee.
Because they are similar on the issues
Reagan Democrats! Welcome.
I’m no expert but like everyone here,I have a brain and my brain tells be Sander is a scripted “opponant”to keep hillary on TV and looking like a middle of the road “winner” rather than just sitting on her thumb. The next democrat nominee for vice president will absolutely be the communist Bernie Sanders. Bookmark this. ( those little communists will squeal with delight. They are going nowhere)
It doesn’t take an expert to figure this out. There are going to be millions of pissed off Sandernistas when he loses. They HATE Hillary Clinton, and their hatred grows with every win she manages. They see that the Democrat primary system has an infusion of superdelegates that ensures the establishment pick wins EVERY time. (Indeed, Obama was allowed to win, I believe as mostly an experiment to test out newly minted DNC GOTV initiatives using Big Data and other digital strategies).
By the time it’s over, they’re going to be so blind with rage at their rigged system, they’re going to vote against Hillary. I think that it doesn’t hurt Trump that one of his primary platform goals is returning good middle class blue collar jobs to the country. I think that will make a lot of fledgling little communists think “well, at least, worst case, I might actually be able to make a living under a Trump administration”.
Bernie wants to “help” the middle class with handouts. Trump wants to enable the middle class to help themselves with honest hard work. The rest of the candidates are only interested in continuing to ship good jobs overseas and import/excuse illegal cheap labor. There will be Sanders supporters who come around and see the light, once he’s out and the socialist brainwashing starts to lose hold.
Populism ‘round this side of the hedge meets populism coming ‘round the other side of the hedge.
When you don’t have a firm political ideology to which you attempt to adhere, anything is possible.
Trump easily gets the disenfranchised non-establishment voter demographic from the Dems just to send a message to the DLC/DNC
I was unfortunately stuck in a crowd of Bernistas the other day, and after much arguing almost half of them agreed that they would probably vote Trump if Hillary is their nominee.
Because they are that pissed off at their system, and even though they see Trump as Satan incarnate, they want to flip off their party’s elites.
You mean the scum that nearly rioted in Chicago? The ones that LOATHE Trump?
And maybe a unicorn that farts skittles will wander into your front yard too.
Weren’t “PUMA” Hillary supporters supposed to elect McCain 8 years ago?
Democrat filth will be voting democrat.
Maybe Trump can promise them free college.
And Single-payer health care.
But he has to get through the GOP primary first.
I could see Sanders supporters endorsing Trump. Even Robert Reich thinks him less “dangeorus” than Cruz.
“There will always be a part, and always a very large part of every community, that have no care but for themselves, and whose care for themselves reaches little further than impatience of immediate pain, and eagerness for the nearest good.” -Samuel Johnson
I met one at the Tucson rally. Hates Clinton. Knows Bernie is out and wanted to see what Trump had to offer. Was upset about Cruz’s association with the guy who wants to kill gays (this guy was gay) and was not happy about people wanting to stifle others’ free speech and we spoke a lot about tolerance and civility and we agreed we both wanted more.
My son in college says he and many of his friends are for Bernie first and Trump second. Not sure how many will actually vote but that’s their preference.
