Reuters: Trump, Bush Locked in Dead Heat; Rubio Sinks to Tenth Place

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Real estate magnate and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has skyrocketed to Republican frontrunner status, as a new poll from Reuters/Ipsos has Trump tied for first place with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. The rest of the pack is far behind them.

Trump pulled in 15.8 percent, compared to Bush’s 16.1 percent in the poll of 404 self-identified Republicans taken from July 6 to July 10. Since the poll’s credibility interval is 5.7 percent, that puts both Bush and Trump in a league of their own atop the field as the next best candidate, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who doesn’t even break 10 percent.

What’s perhaps most interesting is that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has begun sinking heavily in the polls, as he’s well behind most of the Republican candidates—he’s now in tenth place, well out of contention—clocking in at just 3.9 percent in this poll...

The debates will really separate the sheep from the goats. And who are they polling in that John Ellis Bush and Chris Christie are in the top three?

[Reuters: Trump, Bush Locked in Dead Heat]

Not bloody likely. Jeb is a spineless goober.

Anyone named “Bush” couldn’t get elected meter maid in this country.

And for a lot of good reasons.

I don’t believe Bush leads anyone.

I don’t believe I’ve ever met someone stupid enough to tell me they’re supporting Bush.

Could anyone possibly have a logical explanation for supporting Jeb Bush? I couldn’t begin to imagine.

There isn’t a soul in the world who doesn’t know who Bush and Trump are. Yet 15% and 16% is where they are. That doesn’t sound like winning popularity to me.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry gets 5.3 percent while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) gets 5%?

WHAT?

not sure about CC, but a lot of establishment guys are jeb guys. I think we can shake them out, though.

it will come down to your guy (cruz) and mine (walker).

I would be blissfully happy to vote for either one in november.

Sounds like they polled the faculty lounge at a community college in Vermont.

“Anyone named “Bush” couldn’t get elected meter maid in this country.”

And isn’t it funny that the same media who loathed Dubya for 8 years has no problem with Jebby, and pushes him at every turn.

They know just how much political poison a “Bush” would be.

That’s why the left loves him.

The RNC mafia and their business associates think they are going to pull another Romney on us.

All it takes to stop these scumbags is a guy with his own money and the courage to tell the truth.

After the past week, it seems like the campaign left behind everyone. It is now Trump. On the Dem side looks like Sanders is upsetting Clinton as well. What an interesting campaign this might make: Trump vs. Sanders.

Bush might have $100+ million banked for the campaign but that is a bit meaningless against Trump who could write his campaign that and laugh. Heck, he could self-fund, and may, his whole campaign. He seemed to suggest that in Phoenix today. Curious to see how that shapes things.

And Bush will take off his own gloves or slug himself with them. He’s an idiot and will throw the game.

San Diego County is pretty conservative and very Republican. I know no one who supports Jeb Bush. I am curious where his alleged support is supposed to be coming from.

Will Walker run? I think his 15 minutes came and went while he was thinking about it. What is the point of him jumping in now? Especially as he’s been toying with some deal with Rubio. How will that go over with folks thinking he’s a great conservative?
