Five Reasons Why Republicans Won’t Nominate Jeb Bush
The American Spectator ^ | 6.15.15 | Aaron Goldstein

1. Illegal Immigration is Act of Love

2. Dismisses Opponents of Common Core as Conspiracy Theorists

3. Praise of Hillary Clinton 4. He is Way Past His Prime

Jeb Bush’s entry into the presidential race marks the first time he has run for office since 2002. By contrast, Scott Walker has run in three elections since 2010.

5. His Last Name

Yet perhaps the biggest albatross Bush faces is his very name. This is perhaps unfair. But this is especially true after he told Megyn Kelly last month that he would have authorized the War in Iraq. After taking heat over the comments, Bush would later claim he misunderstood the question and said he would not have authorized the war after all.

haha I get only 1 vote, so only candidate who will get it is the one at the top of my list. I do not vote multiple times, even though I spent 37 years in Chicago.

I never just vote against anyone.
Sometimes I have to write a name in, but my vote is always FOR a candidate with my values.

I dunno... looking at the last two republican primaries the most popular RINO has won the nomination.

I always vote against the much bigger evil. Because writing in a vote for someone who has no chance to win makes me irrelevant. I never want to be irrelevant. I want to make as much difference as I can.

If too many conservatives stay in the race to the bitter end, the lone RINO will win every time. Example: Santorum and Newt fought to the bitter end, clearing path to victory for lone RINO Romney.

Jeb Bush could win nomination, and then lose to Hillary in General.

According to RCP poll averages,

Hillary beats Paul by 2.8%
Hillary beats Rubio by 4.2%
Hillary beats Bush by 5.2%.
Hillary beats Walker by 6.6%.
Hillary beats Cruz by 8.3%

There’s so many reasons to vote against Jeb Bush on his own merits that his last name doesn’t even need to be considered.

The liberal Republican hierarchy will do its utmost to see that Jeb is nominated. They are in league with their counterparts on the Democratic side and will once again throw the election to a liberal Democrat.

If evils like socialized medicine, gay marriage, forcing youth organizations for boys to allow homosexual leaders are going to be enacted by either major party I will pass.

I believe that when I stand before God I will be held accountable for what I supported. Not for whether or not what I supported prevailed. That judgment will have eternal consequence for me. Who won or lost will have temporary consequences for me.

It’s not a salvation issue, but nonetheless our decisions here have consequences that will follow us later.

As a student of history, I realize chances are things may go to hell no matter what I may do. Obedience to God in this is easier to prioritize when I don’t assume that everything can be fixed at the ballot box.

The polls showed Kerry winning. They were pissed when they failed to steal the election.

The best scenario for Jeb losing nomination is for more RINO’s to stay in the race and one lone conservative staying in the race. But I am not sure conservatives can unify behind one candidate. Santorum, Newt, Cain, etc versus one RINO Romney! Have the conservatives learned anything from 2012?

I can’t depend on God to look out for me on this earth. God gave me a brain and strength in my body. I must use both during the life he has awarded me and work for the best possible outcome. I do not believe he wants me to make it easier for Hillary to win.

“But I’m not sure conservatives can unify behind one candidate.”

After the last couple of days of fighting on this site, I agree — unity doesn’t look promising.
