1. Idealists and ideologues, whether of the right or left, will always be disappointed in viable candidates because viable candidates have to make compromises in order to get elected and remain in office.
2. Money talks, even to so-called liberals and socialists. The oligarchy has compromised the GOP and the Democrats. The two-party system is a fraud.
3. There are some issues we can work with the left on such as NSA spying, the militarization of local police forces, and getting rid of common core.
This woman needs to get to Cuba quick. The Castros have but a few years left to perfect their Utopia and this woman can help.
A young mind full of mush. Most of these nitwits who are so concerned about the working class have never held an honest blue-collar job in their lives. This guy was an envelope-stuffer. Neither can they answer honestly the question, "How has the working class fared under actual socialist governments?" It hasn't been pretty.
I treat Bernie as the joke candidate that Dennis Kucinich used to be, only without the charm. If he draws off a few of the drum-pounding Occupy roaches it ought to be good for a few laughs, at least.
Ran into a friend of my S-I-L last week while visiting.

During the Conversation the Woman proudly told me how she is reading Noam Chomsky for the first time in her life.
After discussing a few more of her Political and Societal viewpoints, I realized just how Ignorant one person could be, and there she was.
They are ouraged by the variety of deodorants used by decadent generations before them.
In fact, they’re so angry they’re going to stand in line for the next iPhone version so they can tweet about it.
Most young have had two presidents to compare. not great examples for them.
I live about a half mile from the airport where the F35 will be based. A lot of the people here actually believe the nonsense spewed by people like the author of this piece.
From 1980-1986 the F4 was based here. Everyone survived just fine and those things were pure noise.
As to why are there so many young American communists nowadays. Several reasons:
1. Our educational system including teaching what is good about America, sucks. Lots of reds go into the elementary to high school teaching arena in the late 60’s/70s and subverted the system with covert anti-Americanism/Marxism.
This was esp. true in the DC school system which I helped to expose in 1970 as part of a congressional investigation into corruption in DC and the red-led Washington Teachers Union (Socialist Workers Party got a lot of key people into the DC school system and teachers union).
2. Our kids are not educated properly even in good schools. Books are biased, conservative teachers are often shunned, and boredom allows for all kinds of weird stuff to slip into their educational time. Drugs, too.
3. Anti-American communist/Marxist propaganda is so prevalent in our society that most people don’t even know it is there, like the PODS in “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” (which was prescient in its depiction of the Communist attempts to takeover American society since the 1930’s).
Our media is ethically, morally and ideologically corrupt, leaning to the Marxist Left, money, the cult of personality (shades of Hitler and Stalin), and historically incompetent.
I think this sums up the key elements of the problem.
Plus Congress is as corrupt and ignorant as any in American history.

She could have made the same coherent argument about the being flat and still be wrong.
I think the kids and weirdos will flock to him in a Gene McCarthy sort of way. Hillary is going to be shocked.

I was wondering about that. I visited VT a few weeks ago and a lot of people in the Burlington area were talking about it. They have F16s there now. Are the F35s that much worse?
