If the GOP doesnt put together a sensible immigration policy it will lose the 2016 presidential election. When President Obama beat Mitt Romney in 2012, with the former Massachusetts governor attracting only 27% of the Hispanic vote with his self-deportation argument, Republicans across the map decided they must develop an immigration-reform policy with an outreach approach to minority groups.
According to the Republican National Committee, the days of harsh language and punitive legislation must end. In its place, the GOP must reconstruct the Ronald Reagan/Jack Kemp big tent theory of politics, where there is plenty of room for all groups blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Millennials, women, and gays. As Reagan put it, if you and I agree 80% of the time and disagree 20%, we are not enemies.
A lot of clear-headed Republicans have a strong dislike for identity-group politics. Me too. Instead, I prefer a program of economic growth, strong national defense, deregulation, low flat-tax-rate reform, free trade, and sound money to unleash American prosperity and bolster national security. If this positive message is sold to everyone and all groups it will work politically....

Sure... And if the libs believed this, they would give us that advice?
Why don’t they just come out and say “Nominate Jeb Bush to be the graceful loser to Hillary.”
sure thing you bet......How about this for coherent.
IF you aren’t here legally we will send you home. You cannot work here. You cannot drive here. PLUS we will make sure you cannot send money to Mexico from here.
That should take care of it
All the polls that I read show that people do not want amnesty by large margins.
So the Republicans are to have a “big tent” by offending 75-80 percent of the voters?
Kudlow must not be very good at math.
For every illegal the GOP reaches out to and promises amnesty,
there will be an equal amount of conservatives and Reagan democrats
that will stay home and not vote.
And that Kudlow will NOT will you an election.
More propaganda to convince Americans to give up their country.
Larry has been working for The Cheap Labor Express for years. They want to keep it running and to stop the citizens from shutting it down.
They have paid the RNC millions to make sure we cannot elect anyone who will stop the invasion/cheap labor importation/colonization.
It is definitely not immigration.
That is the eventual result.
The base is much more important. The GOP-E hates the base, though.

Coherent - and far too “simplistic” for the liberal mind to grasp.
There was a reason why control of borders is of paramount importance for every country in the world, and has been since the rise of organized government. A nation without enforceable boundaries is not a nation, it is a pawn in a game of “Territory” with its neighbors. Consider the very fluid plight of Poland, a land with no easily defined or defensible borders. Between Germany (and its predecessor state, Prussia), and Russia, the territory was simply enveloped and carved up for political and economic reasons, leaving the Poles with no national identity for centuries on end.
I am still waiting for that first AMERICAN voter to come up to me and tell me that they are outraged that the politicians aren’t giving amnesty to the illegal alien thieves and invaders. The only people I’ve heard whine about it are commie ‘RAT politicians and their toads in the state controlled “media”.
“...Conservatives and Reagan democrats
that will stay home and not vote.”
Yet the amnesty crowd has fooled itself into thinking catering to the illegals will somehow buy more of the Hispanic vote. It didn’t work after Simpson-Mazzoli in the 1980s and it sure won’t now.
Sounds like a PLAN! Wish one of the candidates would take that position verbatim.
Enforce current law seems coherent.
I've got it.
American citizenship is very valuable. So valuable, people will rick their lives to come here illegally.
We can't afford to let these illegals come here, consume our resources, tax dollars etc. and then reward their illegal behavior by also giving them citizenship.
Our policy is to seal the border and return these criminals to their home country. Then we'll end chain migration, anchor babies and the visa lottery. Then we'll reduce all remaining legal immigration by 80%.
In 20 years, we'll revisit the immigration issue.
Anyone caught here illegally one month after we announce this policy will be ineligible to reenter the US, for any reason, for 20 years.
Sensible enough?
SHIP THEM ALL BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM; DAD, MOM, KIDS, PETS, EVERYONE!!!!
