I cannot believe Im writing this. I mean, when you think about it, how much sense does it make that Carly Fiorina is running for president?
With chances less than zero of getting beyond New Hampshire, let alone Super Tuesday, Fiorina began making the cable news show rounds in recent weeks. Name a hot bed issue and there she was, under the studio Klieg lights, nattily dressed and ready to rattle off a litany of conservative talking points.
That has always been the Fiorina Way, after all: toe the party (or company) line even as the boat sinks.
For now at least, she is the only woman among the current GOP field of candidates. If nothing else, shell be an early and ardent counterpoint to Hillary Clinton whom she called unqualified.
Unfortunately, rather than invest itself in meaningful outreach to diverse audiences, Republicans have settled for box-check politics. A largely unfunded candidate with little or no base of support, like Fiorina, is one example of that. There is no better spokesperson to push back on wage inequality than a former Fortune 20 CEO who also happens to be a woman, right?
While there is a bevy of support for Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, two things are clear for even Fiorinas eyes to see: The Republican nominee will be a man, and that man will in all likelihood be white.
For the next few months, however, Fiorina will crisscross the country to make her case to primary voters. She will stomp the yard with highly romanticized renditions of her corporate years. She wont mention the botched merger, the millions in stakeholder value lost, being forced out by the board, or how the entire gambit killed thousands of jobs.
The train will inevitably run out of steam. But before its over, Fiorina will work her way onto dozens of cable and broadcast news programsright where the eventual nominee can see her.
Wait, this is starting to make sense now.
“That has always been the Fiorina Way, after all: toe the party (or company) line even as the boat sinks. “
Sure seems to apply to another group of people I’m familiar with. Of course, thats OK because those people ‘know better”.
I see.. RED EYES!! Glowing in the dark.
30,000 HP employees uhhh ex-employees had red eyes too.
Talking is cheap, walking the talk ain’t so easy
And she lost her U.S. Senate race here in CA against Barbara Boxer.
Not very much grounds for encouragement IMHO.
Then, like Rick Santorum, after she lost her senate race, she moved to the Washington Beltway. Further reasons to skeptical.
Not to change the subject away from Carly (suppressing a yawn here...), but...
even though it was drawn by a ‘Rat, I’m getting a lot of laughs out of that caricature of the candidates. It’s pretty well done.
But I can’t find Scott Walker... is he the one on the bottom row, second from the right?
Yes, with the crossed eyes.
She’s not going to be the VP pick either.
Theres nothing to be skeptical about. She nearly ended one of the greatest IT companies ever with bad decisions, is a full blown RINO, and fully backs the GOPe platform.
Those are cast in stone realities. She is playing her role to peel of any people on the right too yellow to stick to their claimed assertions of conservatism. Just as happened with countless ‘conservative’ frauds before her.
Anyone remotely supporting this hack should not use the toilet without adult assistance much less vote.
Obama lost $$TRILLIONS$$$ and it didn’t seem to bother the majority of voters....
Id say let her keep blooding Hillary’s face for a while you know samich maker to samich maker only she can do it
LOL! They didn’t go out of their way to flatter Gov. Walker, did they?
You can tell who they fear.
I’m surprised Donkey Hotey didn’t similarly brutalize Ted Cruz.
She should be a voice to hit a Hillary and Warren and no more.
Anyone could. They just lack the conviction.
No Fiorina in that pic. That is Gov Haley in the back row
Since Milt is there, I’m guessing it was done early in the year or even last year.
>> You think that caricature of Cruz is positive?
No, NONE of them are what I would call “positive”.
but Ted’s isn’t nearly as nasty as Walker’s.
That’s Jeb at 16 I think. I actually enjoy seeing Jeb get a finger in the eye. And Christie too.
Suffice it to say she doesn’t have my vote and I think her presidential expedition is more of a vanity play and a quest for attention than a serious effort to pay much thought to.
As far as I'm concerned, there are only maybe 4 legitimate contenders and everyone else should stay home and let the voters focus on them.........
I wonder if they were trying to make Jeb look like JFK?
