Chris Christie Extremely Unpopular w/Working Class Republicans
Frontpage Magazine ^ | October 11, 2014 | Daniel Greenfield

Turning out the working class white vote is crucial for the Republicans in 2016. Some are touting Chris Christie as the solution, but the Marsist-McClatchy poll suggests otherwise.

Christie gets 17% of the vote for the $50,000 and over group among Republicans and those who lean that way, but only 5% for the $50,000 and unders. Those are extremely striking and shocking numbers. Christie is well known, especially after Sandy, so this can’t be a name recognition issue.

It’s not a RINO issue either.

Jeb Bush is at 18% among the under $50,000 and as 12% among the over $50,000. Again something that needs to be looked at. It might be the association with George W. Bush, but there might be some part of his message that his opponents might consider adapting for their own use.

Ted Cruz does twice as well among the under 50K and doesn’t even register among the over 50K. Again not surprising....

Wasn't Krispy Kreme supposed to be the Ralph Cramden/Joe Lunchbucket candidate?

Why would the upper income people reject Ted Cruz? Attacks from the media & dems?

One of two causes:

1. No morals
2. Too stupid, or GOP-E, which probably equates to both 1 and 2.

Cris Christie stuck fat nose into Colorado elections with a lying add against Tom Tancredo. Christie is just as corrupt and Bloomberg and Sorros. He did a lot of damage to the goopy party.

Chris Christie is too fat (cost 5% of vote) and too abrasive (cost 5-10% of vote).

He is the perfect MSM Republican candidate.

And don't forget this in-kind contribution to the Obama campaign.

Given that he is an Authentic Conservative, you will see a major Grass-roots ground-swell of support and those that will be making phone calls, talking to people and donating money, basically, doing anything they can when he formerly announces he is running for President.

Something we have not seen since Reagan.

Not to rain in the parade, but “Working Class Republicans” is a class warfare term. It implies that only poor people (those who are paycheck-to-paycheck) are “working”. In reality, the true working classes are those who own businesses that employ more than themselves.

I think you’re right. I’m just under 200 and that belt he’s wearing looks like it could wrap around me three times. And I’m not all that slim anymore!
