Scarborough: Palin represented a time in politics that is passing us very quickly
MSNBC's Morning Joe ^ | January 28, 2013 | Drew Katchen

Posted on 01/28/2013 8:47:24 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Former Republican star and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and FOX news ended their partnership on Friday after three years, a source close to Palin told the Real Clear Politics Web site, the Morning Joe panel discussed Palin’s exit on Monday morning.

“Sarah Palin represented a time and place in American politics and not 2008 so much as 2010. And that time is passing us very quickly. Party leaders are finally understanding that,” Joe Scarborough told the panel.

Palin last appeared on Fox on December 19, 2012 when she spoke with the channel’s Greta Van Susteren about Benghazi and the two discussed TIME’s Person of the Year.

Scarborough called the move “important” because FOX News president Roger Ailes has been the “de facto” head of the GOP.

“He’s run the party; he’s run the conservative movement. And when Roger Ailes decides she’s not worth the trouble, it means conservatism is moving in a new direction,” Scarborough said...

No conservative party will ever win without the support of conservative women. And conservative women did not like the way Palin was treated.

Even people who weren’t Palin supporters in the primaries did not like the way she was treated after nomination.

The GOP and other ersatz conservative groups and individuals are apparently still as clueless now as they were then. Six years and counting and after the disastrous 2012 campaign and they STILL can’t figure it out.

Oh—Joe Scarborough represents young dead girls, also, with his friend, Condit.....he’s not just an obama, leftist drone-—he is a controlled, bribed little puppet “mouthpiece” of the Left-—to force their sick, immoral agenda.

His soul was sold to the devil years ago. Wonder what became of the medical examiner who vouched for that girl’s “bump” on the head——you know the one who had body parts hidden in a warehouse.

- The news that Sarah Palin will no longer be a paid contributor to Fox News puts an exclamation point on the end of an era, or at least a chapter, in U.S. political history.

- Once the face of an energetic and politically potent Tea Party movement, Palin is leaving Fox at a time when polls show the Tea Party at an all-time low in both membership and favorability. Her departure also coincides with calls by some leading Republicans for their party to stop saying things that erode the GOP brand and turn off voters in droves.

It appears the talking points have been distributed.

If people have to constantly remind you that someone is finish and irrelevant then usually that means that someone isn’t finish or irrelevant because people wouldn’t bother talking about them

No Joe. Sarah Palin is not irrelevant. She is just busy working on her next course of action. Maybe it is another of her great commentaries. Maybe she has a new media outlet that will use her talents. Whatever it is, it will kick the pointy asses of the Scarboroughs of the world like they were tin drums. Oh, what a sound that makes!

If Ailes’ “conservative” movement is “moving in a NEW direction”; it’s more of a “whichever way the wind blows” movement instead of a Conservative movement. - Conservatism is having values that date back to the CONSTITUTION and the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and sticking to them.
