Sarah Palin Endorses Deb Fischer (Nebraska US Senate candidate)

Deb Fischer has picked up a major endorsement, as former Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin backs the Valentine rancher for U.S. Senate.

Fischer said she was honored to be endorsed by the former Alaska governor and her husband Todd Palin.

"I greatly admire their willingness to stand on conservative principle and their resolve in standing up to the political establishment," Fischer said.

The two-term state senator is running for U.S. Senate and poll numbers released by her campaign show she may be closing the gap with Attorney General Jon Bruning and State Treasurer Don Stenberg.

Bruning has picked up big endorsements too, including one from Presidential candidate Rick Santorum. Bruning is also supported by dozens of county attorneys and law enforcement officers across the state. Stenberg counts Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Jim DeMint in his corner.

Fischer said, "Our campaign is grassroots powered and focused on conservative policy solutions that will change the course of this nation. I'm a wife, mother, rancher, small business owner, and citizen legislator, not a career politician. To change Washington, we need to send a different type of person there. That's why I'm running for U.S. Senate."

Before receiving Palin's endorsement, Fischer wrote to Palin "as a fellow female Republican". Fischer's note told Palin, " I have watched your career with respect as you take on tough issues, all while raising a family and serving your great state. Your career has inspired me and so many other female politicians who believe principles should be above politics."

Palin responded, saying she has been watching Nebraska's senate race. Palin said Fischer's race in Nebraska was reminiscent of her races in Alaska.

"Winning over voters through personal interactions is the way to go. People are tired of outside interests spending millions of dollars in political attack ads," the endorsement letter from the Palins said. "We're glad to see your grassroots efforts paying off!"

The letter concluded, "Good luck next Tuesday - the Palins are in your corner."

If it's anything like her other endorsements, she just put all kinds of wind in Deb's sails.

Nobody hardly heard, outside of Lexington County, of our Gov Nikki Haley until Mrs Palin stepped in.

Mark Levin said that we should be able to get at least ONE conservative from Nebraska in the US Senate and their AG is an Obama and Holder buttboy RINO (meaning, of course, that he is getting the big bucks from the GOP-e...he needs to be “Lugared!”)

Reckon Sarah listens to Levin?
