Vanity: Resigned to Romney? No Way! It's Time for Real Conservatives to Organize
28 April 2012 | Yashcheritsiy

Posted on 04/28/2012 5:36:53 PM PDT by Yashcheritsiy

I posted this up in News/Activism because it is a call to activism, and therefore seemed to me to fit the bill.

This is a "caucus" thread - if you're a pro-Romney whiner, then go find another thread. This one is for conservatives who want to do something about the election besides hang our heads and timidly thump a tub for Mittens.

I've intended this thread to hang around for a while so that we can throw ideas back and forth and start trying to network, etc. If you're really interested in organizing for action, please feel free to join in. If you want to hang back and not get actively involved, well, feel free to join in or lurk too.

Thanks, Yashcheritsiy

The primary in my home state is May 8 and I won’t be voting for Romney. I’m trying to remain hopeful for a brokered convention.

Hi Guys,

I felt moved to post this thread with the intent of providing a dedicated place where we can go beyond mere grousing about the current state of affairs to trying to come up with substantive ways to deal with it.

I humbly beg your sufferance, Milords!

I think both parties are so corrupt it doesn’t matter.

I’m checking in to see how long it takes for the Romney lovers to invade. I also would like to voice my support for this thread and hope we can come up with usable ideas.

We better hope for lots of 3rd party voters to get out to the polls because Romney won’t get the job done.

I’ll probably vote for Virgil Goode and I want to get rid of Debbie Stupidcow.

What I'm doing is this.

1. Assisting some friends who are precinct delegate candidates.
2. Working with them to make sure the right individuals are party leaders.
3. Making sure good candidates are nominated in our August primary. I will be voting for Peter Konetchy for Senate. He's a constitutionalist.
4. This fall, I will be working to re-elect Tim Walberg and working to defeat Debbie Stupidnow. I haven't decided yet for POTUS.

Resigned to Romney?

Yeah, kind of. Is there anything productive we can do to avoid Romney and the unmentionable one? Is there a viable 3rd-party candidate? Is there a way to end up with a convention floor fight and have Romney lose? Do we need a new party?

You should change the title of your post to:

“Reelect Obama!”

I’ve done all I can realistically do. I plan to spend the next few year hammering the winner of this farciful race, regardless of which Marxist it is.

Ron Paul beat Obama?

Not in this lifetime.

If anyone comes up with a good idea let me know, I sure don’t see much we can do about it now.

Remember his poll number stayed around 50%, meaning 50% of republicans are so friggin stupid they voted for the RepubliDem.

These are questions I'm hoping can be robustly discussed on this thread over the next few days!

Right On!

The Republican Elite-Tea Party War will continue until one or the other is pushed out, we cannot peacefully coexist together.

Romney has flip the Bird to want was suppose to be the GOP base, I.E. The Conservatives, he was gained the Nomination without them. He cannot win the General however with out us, Now we must focus on our Local Elections, that is how we will gain this country back, from the Bottom Up, NOT the Top Down (or inside out as the Vile Despicable Van Jones says)

G-D Save us Conservatives.

No and no.

There is no 3rd party candidate with any chance whatsoever of beating Obama and there will not be a brokered convention. There will be one man on the ballot that has a chance of beating Barack Obama. His name is Mitt Romney. If you want to defeat Obama, vote for him. If you want to send some kind of message or make a statement, vote for someone else and accept a second term for President Obama. But make no mistake, bury your delusions, these are your only choices.

So now what?

Stop whining, you lost. I may not like the direction, but you are losers to think it is going elsewhere. Romney is going to be the nominate and you are just “pissing in the wind” to think else.If you think your drive for a third party or brokered convention is viable, you are clueless. You can destroy the chance to OUT the current office holder, if you continue your ways. Grow up.

Romney is just a person to make conservatives think the won and go back to sleep. Romney is just another POS.
