Rick Santorum the 2012 version of Mike Huckabee
Milwaukee Story ^ | 1.21.12 | Robert Wilkens

With Rick Santorum’s performance tonight there will likely be pressure from the GOP establishment on the former Senator from Pennsylvania to drop out of the GOP presidential primary race. So far Santorum mirrors the 2008 Huckabee campaign, obviously because of the win over Romney in Iowa, but also the bare-bones structure of his campaign and lack of fundraising ability.

Laura Ingraham says it's likely he'll endorse Romney.

I don't know why she says that but I know he did endorse him before.

fortunately, the people get to make up their own minds on who to support...

As for Santorum, he lacks the balls to stand up to the media which translates to weakness...

Rick Santorum the 2012 version of Mike Huckabee

Santorum reminds me of a little boy standing on the sidelines watching the big fellows play and calling out, "I want to play, too...I want to play, too".

No matter who he endorses, a good percent of his voters will jump to “Not Romney” ie Newt....Thus, I see pressure from the “establishment” to KEEP HIM IN the race, to help Mitt....

I believe the little weasel would endorse Mittens.

Santorum comes off that way, like a little sissy - but he also seems to have a vindictive side, and I’d bet money he’ll endorse Mittens. Glad he doesn’t have the money Huckabee had who stayed in as spoiler to help McLame. But Newt sure could use his votes. I think there’s another debate next week (Mittens’ decided to go after all), so keep praying for a Florida victory - for our country’s sake.

“....and I’d bet money he’ll endorse Mittens.”

.
Santorum is too shrill. My wife is totally ignorant of American politics, but she likes to watch the debates just to watch the controversy.

Santorum turned her off from the very beginning. She says he acts like a little spoiled brat who does not want to play unless he is the center of attention.

Huckabee was much more charming and personable.

It was funny when he challenged Newt claiming that he wouldn’t be able to effectively debate Obama.

Romney likes big government... and so does Santorum, albeit for different reasons. (Romney sees government picking individual businesses for success or failure, while Santorum sees government as the first, best source of ‘Christian’ charity.)

So it’s natural for Santorum to endorse someone that has his own views on the role of government in America.

As much as I admire Santorum’s family values - I just can’t get excited about him as our candidate. I wasn’t on the Newt wagon either, until the last couple of debates and now I find myself wanting to hear more from him.

I sure hope Santorum doesn’t endorse Romney. Ugh. I do wish that Ron Paul would get out of the race and stay out now and forever.
