Sixteen of the impacted parts may still be installed on U.S.-registered aircraft and up to 75 such parts may have been used in aftermarket installation, she wrote in a Sept. 30 letter to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Tampa Mayor Jane Castor on Friday speculated that a home in the city’s upscale Davis Islands neighborhood likely burned down because an electric vehicle inside a garage caught fire. "Water and ion batteries do not mix. They literally explode. So if that was the case of this particular fire, I saw that home from the helicopter and there’s one wall left," she said. "It’s very, very tragic. Fortunately nobody was hurt."

When it comes to ordering a steak, it's not nearly as simple as selecting your cut of choice, and level of doneness. For some, it's a matter of ordering the right steak for two, or pre-gaming with steak tartare. For others, it's about finding a good steak at an affordable price, or seeking out the highest-quality Prime beef. For some discerning diners, however, the end-all-be all boils down to the aging process—and the eternal debate between wet-aged steak, and dry-aged steak.

Snacks are a valuable way to keep blood sugars and energy levels steady, whether you have diabetes, prediabetes or are simply being proactive about balancing blood sugars. These between-meal bites can help prevent blood sugar (and energy) crashes during the day. It’s no surprise, however, that certain snacks affect blood sugars differently. The airship Hindenburg was nearing the end of a three-day voyage across the Atlantic Ocean from Frankfurt, Germany before it went up in flames. Merely watching the gigantic airship making its way across the skies was a newsworthy spectacle, and onlookers and news crews gathered to watch the 800-foot-long behemoth touch down. Suddenly and horrifyingly, in less than half minute, it was all over. Flames erupted from the airship’s skin,...

Many mainstream and conservative Jews are ready to rally around Andrew Cuomo if he runs for mayor, prominent Jewish activists told The Post. “Cuomo is a moderate with a deep history with the Jewish community and a long record of fighting for issues we care about — combating antisemitism and strong support of Israel,” a source said — just days after embattled Mayor Eric Adams appeared in Manhattan court Friday on sweeping corruption charges. “The Jewish community is very anxious for Cuomo to jump into the race. A lot of us will jump in for him,” said Jewish organizer who...
