Some description, "balck tongue". I can picture the cutie now. Have you ever thought of writing travel brochures? Put some Chow in the puppy.

I'm changing her name to horneygrl. When I was in my teens and early twenties it was a different world than today. Growing up now I'd be a monk.

yes it would be incredibly scary today. i grew up immersed in Catholic guilt. did the trick for me. i waited a good LONG time. that's why it's still a novelty for me ; )

Sounds lovely! There really isn't much else you can do with a Palladian window, but that sounds like an attractive solution. We have a guest room that has a pine cannonball post bed, wardrobe, etc, and I decorated that room with Federal era accessories and a put a handmade quilt and shams on the bed. It isn't perfectly correct, but it looks good to me. Now I need to finish doing the master bedroom, as soon as I have some money to burn....someday.

I grew up in a Baptist Rage, rather than a Catholic Guilt. It was a wild time 1969 - 1978 or so. I had the morals of a Tomcat. Yet outside the sport of sex I was a conservative. Still novel to me also, but now there is a lot more emotion mixed in with the lust.

Good point about the Catholic guilt. Hubby and I were both educated at Catholic schools and college. We didn't "shack up" until we were married, and we had both been married before and had grown kids-talk about Catholic guilt..

Things are rather strange around here.

My old girl is not exactly a happy camper, and is dogging my every step.

We made the mistake of telling Jax she could name the puppy. We were able to talke her out of calling it Snow White - considering she is jet black!!!!

that sounds GREAT! i think that perfect rooms might as well be in a museum or a furniture store. better to mix it up a bit, according to your own taste.

once i get something furnished that is the way it stays. i don't move furniture around, and i don't get any redecorating urges. but now i have this 1200 sq feet downstairs that doesn't have a stick of furniture in it. we did get a day bed to put in the guest room down there, and ordered 2 leather sofas and a chair.

i noticed yesterday that the single cabinet in the wetbar that was missing and they have been waiting on a replacement, was put up. unfortunately, it does NOT MATCH THE REST OF THE CABINETS. gotta call the contractor about that. the only other thing we are waiting on down there to be done, is the tile backsplash. have to wait for the tiles to come in.

i have been cursed with expensive taste. we went to look at wooden blinds for the windows down there. and so i go to the one that appeals to me, and xshub is just shaking his head saying, you automatically go to the most expensive thing in here. i said how do you even know? turns out he was right. they were some select hardwoods and would have been $500 per window. needless to say we didn't get them,!

To be honest, Jax reminded me of Snow white's black hair.

But I forgot to say I think Jax has settled on Cinderella.
