Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You know, Corin's idea of an arbor look with climbing plants would give your place a very 'English Cottage' look. It already has the basic shape with the gables on the front. Climbing roses or Clematis would be lovely.

What about a background? I'm wanting to put a background on my profile page and I'm using this:

You should do what I do when confronted with a possibility of danger. Just put it in your head that no matter how crazy your attacker may be, you are just that much more crazy than they are. Thus, they will be more frightened of YOU! *grin*

Maybe I could put roses along the front fence eventually? I would love to have roses! I'm not sure which kinds work in the cold up here, but they sell 'em at the local garden stores, so I think SOME do.

I spent almost 30 minutes last night trying to figure out how to highlight text like I did in that post to 2J about the fryin' pan. I ended up using a table.

You might be able to do that 2J. Set up on large table and put your background gif in the one cell.

But I should stop now before I give the impression that I actually have some understanding of HTML.

Cool, I saved that to my favorites so I can study up some morning while I've got my students working away on some engineering drawing.

I just got through giving some high school kids a tour of my program. Turns out they go to school with Myranda. That was kind of fun because I had some demos of some stuff in photoshop with photos of her and one of her friends.

I don't think you can do a body background on the profile page. But if you add a table, you can put the background in there, like this:
