Thinking of the Fake Things

The Democrats’ last good chance of keeping the White House, aside from trying to steal the election outright, is to quickly take Donald Trump to trial after the Supreme Court hands down its decision in the presidential immunity case, insofar as a guilty verdict is virtually a given. (The jury will be selected from a jury pool in a place that’s about 95% Democrat.) The hope of Democrats is that a guilty verdict in a criminal case involving Jan. 6 will turn off enough voters to keep Trump from winning the election. They aren’t guaranteed satisfaction, but many agree that it’s their best chance of winning the presidency.

Oral argument in the case will be on April 25. The Court could conceivably hand down its decision within a week or two afterward but will most likely hand it down no earlier than mid-June. That might or might not be enough time for a quick trial before the election, but it likely won’t be enough time for an appeal of the trial verdict, however expedited. That’s integral to the Democrats’ plan: a D.C. jury is almost guaranteed to be biased against Trump.

The formal issue in the case is the extent of a president’s (or ex-president’s) immunity in criminal cases. SCOTUS presented the question as “Whether and if so to what extent does a former President enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office.” That issue has never been considered by the Supreme Court. What, then, is the crime of which Trump is supposed to be guilty? It’s the crime of acting in a practicable way on his belief that the election was stolen (or may well have been stolen). It’s a reasonable belief.

I have lost faith in the judicial system. That is where a “great reset” needs to happen.

Wish and hope is a sure bet just about every time, with this “woke” judicial system that decides for the Democrat Socialists at every opportunity. But for this scheme to work, the conviction has to come before the election, and with the fumbling of the judicial procedures by the various DA’s and AG’s involved, it is becoming more doubtful by the day that they shall be able to get their act together.

Trump chooses his enemies well. Or rather, they choose to become his enemy, and manage to overreach just about every time.

When you take a shot at the king, for your own sake, do not miss. And this is turning out to be the gang that could not shoot straight.

Letitia James and Merrick Garland killed my respect for 'American Justice'.

Letitia that black trash woman who 'found the man - THEN found the crime' and with her glee at using 'the law' to destroy a family is such filth, such a totalitarian lowlife - it's like she pulled down her panties and sh*t on the law.

Letitia James and Merrick Garland killed my respect for 'American law'.

Then Merrick - puffing up his stupid self image of being an Atticus Finch at a black church useing the stage to defend 'the right' of black people NOT to show an ID when voting - a blatant play to allow illegals to vote and swing an election. How disgusting. And an insult to black citizens - as if they were not capable of securing an ID. Similar to Biden's 'Ya'all' would be in chains without me' comment. Disgusting. All based on skin color.

What made Atticus amazing was standing up to a unjust entrenched system of 'justice' too often based wrongly on skin color.

Merrick taking us back to that unjust system. I undrstand how you feel MtnClimber

“ How disgusting. And an insult to black citizens ”

What is disgusting is the vast number who will fall in line just to get a “free” phone, and the millions who eagerly accept any victimhood opportunities heaped upon them, as more free stuff is sure to follow. The black community is its own worst enemy.

I don’t see that a President or former President should have immunity, but the kangaroo courts and the DOJ against Trump are completely politically motivated by hate.

Me too.

I won't predict a timeline, but it will happen because I think there's too much corruption to get back to where we need to be via the ballot box and the current double-standard is leading the way.

Excellent points.

But the good news? Black men are starting to break away from the democrat plantation... and they’re moving to Trump.

The bad news? Hard angry black women like being married to and dependent upon the white liberal power structure - so that’s as hopeless as you’re saying... ‘Without Biden they’d all be in chains’... Idiots.
