Ugh. I have the sad history of having a very dear teen-to-adult friendship with a young man in his 20s who turned out to be a narcissist homo. My very wise dad suspected it, but, as an “open minded loving (naive)” kid, I ignored the old man. The friend never hit on me (thank God) so the friendship was genuine - but the narcissism was real. I ended him ten years ago due to his narcissist stalking of my political posts. Because he was wealthy and tied into the rich gay community, he and his lover became best friends with Kathy Griffin. It all added up!
